WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY???? close this thread please. why you made this thread please explain. WHYY!!!!!!
I wish there was an icon to smack this guy in the face. I can't believe he is actually going to jinx us. If the Jets lose on Sunday, I'm blaming him and I am demanding a year+ ban from the mods, because this thread shouldn't be on here before a big playoff game in Foxboro.
Oh, please. If anything, Mangini seeing this thread would only motivate him more. Well, it's not like he needs any more motivation to begin with. Did I just bump this "stupid" thread? I think I did. I love being an ass.
go 0-16 say how much he hates new york and wishes he were back in boston and come out with a sex tape...
Great Bump. I still can't see Mangini getting canned unless Woody has completely lost confidence and either Cowher or Parcells was ready to take the job.
3-13 or worse is indefensible and would cause anybody to lose confidence. Particularly when the prior regime was replaced because of a similar collapse in 2005. The lack of injuries will just make the failures more glaring.
The prior regime was replaced for being disloyal to Woody. They would not have been replaced if they kept their mouth shut and showed loyalty.
It's crazy how things turn around, last season Mangini could do no wrong and know it's like he's been possessed by Rich Kotite. I'd say anything worse than 5-11 and he's gone.
Bradway was replaced as GM because he refused to be accountable for the Jets horrid showing in 2005, despite the fact that their lack of depth was his fault and his decision to have Jay Fiedler as the backup to Chad despite his injury history was the crowning blow in the catastrophe. Woody was quoted at the time as saying he needed accountable people running his team and he couldn't find any. It was not disloyalty it was lack of accountability.
Jay Cross is still the President of the Jets. Herm was canned for bitching about his pay check and Bradway would have survived if Herm had towed the line. Bradway got the job he wanted any way. If accountability is what Woody wanted Bradway would have been fired outright.
Cowher definately, as much as I like Parcells I think he might finally have lost it as a coach. Saying that he did a decent job at improving the player talent at the Cowboys.
I completely disagree with that hypothesis. I do not believe that Woody would fire one person for another person's actions. And I saw the "nobody accountable" quote repeated in several places when Bradway's shuffle of responsibilities took place. I'll go looking for a link. Here is a mild one, there were many harsher. http://www.nytimes.com/2006/02/08/sports/football/08jets.html "Johnson added that Tannenbaum and Mangini would bring a "culture of accountability" to the Jets. He informed Bradway and Tannenbaum of the moves Monday."
