The season is all but lost, and all eyes are on Mangini to make a decision that would effectively end the Chad era in New York. What happens next?
Either the Chad era ends or all eyes go on Woody to make a decision that would effectively end the Tannenbaum/Mangini/Bradway era in New York. I give it about two weeks and certainly by the beginning of December for us to begin to realize we were all hoodwinked last year.
The only people who could be the problem at this point, given the offensive failures are (in order of possible fault): Chad, Schottenheimer, Mangini, Tannenbaum, Woody. Somebody in that heirarchy (obviously not Woody) is gonna get it in the neck if this continues to happen. The longer it takes for the correction the farther to the right the chopping victim becomes in my opinion.
Here's what I expect... Chad starts Sunday, vs the worst tackling defense in history... Completes a bunch of short passes to Cotchery, Coles, and Leon... They turn them into big scoring plays.... Mangini uses this as leverage to start Chad for another 6 games....
Mangini basically said it wasn't Chad's fault that the two defenders couldn't tackle Curtis on the 75 yard TD.
I have a bad feeling that the more people call for Chad to be benched, the more likely Mangini will start him.
I voted Mangini starts Chad only because he's shown himself to be too scared of failure to make a change. Him and Chad can both be shown the door.
Yea thats sounds about right. I really hope you're wrong though. I was actually worried that scenario might take place today, but Chad really didn't help out his situation much.
What pisses me off is that even if KC starts and has a great season, some other problem will hit the Jets in the offseason and any momentum gained will be lost. Argh! Same ol' Jets.
so the Jets lost because of that one play, not because they couldn't score a single TD the other 50 minutes plus of game time? if anyone didn't think he was nothing but a copy boy before, they should now, because even intimating such reveals he doesn't have any better football perception than people on fan sites that make the same ridiculous assertions.
But all we've had with Chad is failure.... I don't understand why EM wants to keep Chad on the field. It's mind boggling.
What would you say? Yes Chad is the problem? Come on. You heard Lovie Smith when they talked about Grossman..
Isn't it a sad day when you give up 16 points, don't score a single TD and lose, and the HC comes out and blames the defense and the OL for the loss?
