Everyone is picking the Pats. I have to ask you, why so ready to kill the Cowboys?

I mean, who have the Pats played anyway? If I showed you the list of their opponents records, is their 5-0 start so amazing?

    (1-4)
    (2-3)
    (1-4)
    (1-3)
    (2-3)

Are any of those opponents records impressive? I say Dallas may surprise a lot of people this weekend.

    Thoughts?

    excellent post.

when the Jets were 5-0 a few years ago and when we made the playoffs last year all we heard about from the media was the Jets soft schedule...

until you posted this I had no clue the Pats haven't really played anyone with a winning record... mostly because the sports media can't stop blowing Beli/Brady/Moss...

Who have the Cowboys played? Neither have played anybody. Still, this will be the first "game of the year".

Giants, Miami, Chicago, St. Louis, Buffalo

    3-2
    0-5
    2-3
    0-5
    1-4

    Even worse then the Pats.

Why are people picking the Pats?
    (1) They're 5-0, and haven't even been challenged yet.
    (2) Their skill players have played at a ridiculously high level.
    (3) The Cowboys were extremely lucky to get a win last week against a terrible team.
    (4) Bill Belichick is about 10 times the coach Wade Phillips is.
    (5) They play in the much tougher conference.
    (6) They've won 3 Super Bowls this decade.

None of that guarantees a win on Sunday, of course, but the real question would be why anyone would pick the Cowboys.

I think this years Pats are the best team since the '85 Bears to be quite honest. I'll probably catch a lot of flack for that statement but I really believe it.

Pats will win by 2 scores+.

Actually that comparison isn't too far off right now. We'll see how it is at the end of the season.

IMO the only flak you could get is that it's too early to know for sure (which is of course true, but that doesn't invalidate your opinion), or that it's not completely clear that they are the best team in the NFL (the Colts also make a very good case), so how could they be the best team of the past 20 years. All a team can do is play the teams they are scheduled to play, and based on that the Pats look devastating.

Without Randy Moss, I don't see anything unbeatable about that Pats offense. Unfortunately, they have Randy Moss.

The Cowboys secretly suck. The Pats will win handedly.

I won't watch this game unless it is very close late and the Panthers-Cardinals and Raiders-Chargers games are blowouts or complete.

I hate the Cowboys almost as much as I hate the Pates.

I don't even think Dallas is all that good.... Tony Romo is one of the most overrated players in football, and they STILL are not great at defending the deep ball...

The Pats will make them their whipping boys

Wow. I saw that someone from my Yahoo league actually thinks the Cowboys will win. It must be the drugs.

Pats by 13 touchdowns. Watch for TO to drop more balls than Tony Homo thows for picks.

Randy Moss will run his ass on the Dallas Star.

In ESPN's Sports Nation poll, every state, including Texas, picked the Pats to win by more than a TD....
