I think our coaching staff is not half as smart as everyone foolishly gives them credit for...

There is nothing wrong with TJ, and there is no secret issue with Kellen, our CS is just stuck in its ways, and can't shove its huge ego side and shift the gameplan or personnel a little to try to a win a ballgame

Until we can move the defense off the line of scrimmage it does not matter who we have on the offensive line or at Rb. Even Grossman as bad as he was would hit a long one every once in awile. We have a real schedule this year and unfortunately the league has the book on Chad and or Offense. Stack the line and make him throw. It's not they that Schotty does not want to run we can't run.

i was just addressing the inital post. chads gotta go to open up both passing and run game.

even then our run blocking is garbage. but i believe we could have a servicable run game if teams didnt know what was coming already.

I think they are afraid of punting the ball and putting the defense on the field, so they revert to the short passes because we gain more on those than Jones has been gaining on the ground. I figure if we're 3rd and 4 or 3RD and 6 they don;t want to take the chance running it for 3 yards then having to punt and putting the defense back on the field

Goes to show you that line play is head and shoulders above every other position on the field in terms of importance.
