Wow today really stunk. I still have "hope" for the season, but we're gonna have to bounce back RIGHT now, and as big a Chad supporter as I am, I think Kellen is gonna have to be the one to do it. No matter what...:jets:
If we have any hope for the future we bench Chad next week and go with Clemens for the rest of the season because I think we'll be drafting high enough to pick Woodson or Brennen if Clemens isn't teh answer.
OK, this game wasn't entirely Chad's fault but if you realize how poor the offensive production has been despite the amazing ability of our Wideouts I think its time for a change. Now that doesn't excuse our LBs, Vilma--> wtf? you gotta step up and stop the run, thats what you do in 3-4... Robertson... umm no explanation necessary.... Our D-Line isnt putting the pressure either.... uggh... I can't think about this anymore
Chad has done a lot of good in the past for this team. It's still a joke how he has been treated by the fanbase. But he is not playing good now. He is making terrible decisions, and played a huge part in losing these last 2 games. We have a young QB, it's time to give him a shot.
Chad is typical jets , nice guys but no major wins. People like em , say they are great etc but win fuck all. He had a hall of fame rb , great ol and still couldn't do it . Now he has an arm that is made of plasticine , totally immobile and an embarrasment to the jersey
I just wanted to say FUCK YOU CHAD PENNINGTON...for the second week in a row you were put in situations that any quarterback would die for. What did you do? You sucked. Your terrible. Your the reason i woke up the past 2 weeks feeling like dog shit. You couldnt have made me hate you more.
The Jets choked today, we had it in the bag and we let the Giants run all over us in the second half, and chad threw 2 ints one turned into a 99 yard drive by the g-men and the other went for a pick-6 and it destroyed us.
This was as bad as it gets. The shame of it was the OL did a good job on pass protection for once in their lives. The defense, on the other hand, giving up 190 yards rushing is miserable. Thomas Jones getting 35 yards for the second week in a row is inexcusable too.
I think it is time to give Clemens some playing time. Now, if you think he is somehow going to miraculously turn this season around and take us to the playoffs. Dream on. Defensively we still suck and our O - line is unable to generate any consistent running game. It is not just Chad; it really comes down to we are not that good this year. Dyson getting eaten up on that touchdown was pathetic. Revis is not tackling aggressively. It is tough to put your finger precisely on the problem; collectively, as a team we are not playing well. Kellen is a change of pace and offers more of a down-field threat, but he ultimately is not going to be the savior of the season. I am ready to sign for a seven win season right now. It just doesn't look good this year at all.
Anybody other then me notice we got better running out of our three blind mice last year then we are getting out of this guy we are paying 12 million guaranteed?
The arguments for starting Clemens clearly can't be based on winning games, since there's no way to know how good he actually is (which is precisely why it's crucial to start him now). What should be blindingly obvious to anyone is that Pennington's time as a starter with the Jets has to be over. I was always one of those people who thought that he could win a Super Bowl with a team like Chicago or Baltimore, but I'm not so sure any more. Not only are his skills diminished from years past, he now routinely makes at least two or three absolutely horrific passes each game, which usually lead to killer interceptions. The "Chad won't lose the game for you" mantra has been laughably untrue this year. Without that, he brings absolutely nothing to the table.
