i hate this 8 yard behind the QB, one back formation...and i love the graphic on the TV showing we run like 95% of the time out of that formation...tipping our hand just a little bit ya think?
you don't want to risk a TO in that situation. Imagine if we turned it over trying for 6? we had a chance for a double digit lead, I din't agree w/ the play call and not trying to get closer but I had no problem not going deep.
I'm not so pissed that I cannot believe how great our WR's played in that first half, especially Smith. For all of us begging the FO to make some changes, it appears Smith has officially replacedJmac as the #3. Kudos for that.
I was upset w/ the playcall there I just wasn't upset we din't take a shot deep in fear of a TO but I wanted them to get Nuge closer. Luckily it didn't hurt us.
How often does Chad turn the ball over in the red zone. You sit here and defend the guy until your blue in the face but then you have no faith in him in that last possesion.
You make the case against Penny right there. You consider anything more than 25 yards or less "going deep".
IF we go deep the Giants have a chance to sack us right out of FG range. Maybe the draw wasn't the right playcall, but you don't take a chance deep against a team coming off a 12 sack night. You take those points and thank Eli as you run into the tunnel.
Not w/ 20+ secs left. I don't think it was wise to try a deep ball there. We all understand his arm is his weakness, why risk it in that situation?
Unlike a lot of what I read on these boards and hear from Network announcers, this is a VERY valid criticism
Absolutely!! If he got sacked the Forum would've blamed Chad and Bitched about not taking the gift 3.
You realize there's not alot of room back there w/ the EZ being 25 yds away, right? so the D is compact near the GL, it's a TO waiting to happen.
Well, lets see if Coughlin even lets Eli toss the ball this half considering how crappy the Jets tackling has been on Ward and Jacobs. Eli is fragile. The Jets can put him away with another turn over.
