I hear you man. I can't stomach rooting for the Sox, in any way, shape, or form. At the same time, this would be a classic ALCS showdown.

Now you know what it's like to be a Jets fan without the 86 years of disappointment and failure

By no means do I want this to sound like sour grapes because I really believe it. Obviously, having an 8 day series helps a team who mainly depend on only 3 pitchers but what does it do to the hitters? I would think it's really hard to have a day off after every game and get into any kind of rhythm at the plate. Especially after starting the series after an extended break to begin with. Batting practice just isn't the same thing.

I am on my school's JV soccer team, and our coach decided that the players who start, will not get to play in the C games we scheduled (games against bigger school's freshmen teams).

So I will get to see the full Yanks game!

One day off after 162 regular season games and 1 playoff game isn't going to ruin a hitter's timing.

So Torre chose Veras over Ramirez for the post season..I know Ramirez sucked lately but I thought Veras sucked since he got here. 5 lefties in the lineup against Sabathia where lefties only hit .203 against him all season. Righties batted .275. This team really needs more power right handed bats. I wasn't in favor of Duncan starting earlier but I could see why he should be now, at least as the DH.

Here's the full roster at the bottom of this article, along with the game 1 lineup.

Boston had 9 hits yesterday which was good. Every other team that played had 4 or 6. I know the first game pitching is the best it will be but that's pathetic even if it was Koufax out there.

Might not post much as I usually watch televised games with my father but hopefully we can get the win!

If it makes either of you feel better, I'm rooting against both teams.

Are you kidding me? If that affects him in any way that guy should be banned for the rest of the year. Not to mention that the swelling could get worse as the night goes on.

Hilarious, really. I like Doug, but that's pretty funny.

Kaz Matsui a single away from hitting for the cycle. Must make Mets fans really happy.

Kaz Matsui and the Rockies have nothing to do with it.

Since you are obviously new to these threads I'll take anything you say with a grain of salt.
