http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21082674/ Michigan's season might be getting worse, and that could lead to wins for Notre Dame and Penn State. An ineligible player played for Michigan in the first four games of the season, and although the school hasn't heard yet from the Big Ten about penalties, "I can't rule anything out at this point," athletic director Bill Martin said. Michigan safety Artis Chambers cannot play in any more games this year or travel with the team because of a "misinterpretation of Big Ten freshman eligibility rules," Martin said.
I think we can safely say that Lloyd Carr is probably headed for retirement at the end of the season. Which in Michigan means getting kicked up stairs somewhere in the heirarchy with a comfortable office and some low level input into how things progress in the football program moving forward. One of the reasons Michigan has been consistently good through the decades is that they value the input of their ex-coaches and use it. Bo had an office on-campus (and used it) for a decade after his retirement.
I know I'm going to see them against UCLA hoping they get killed. I am hoping for an 0-11 season from the Irish.
