That's a tough one. I'd have to say Chad, but it's pretty close.

I think Chad is better by a significant margin...Manning is a bum, straight up....the only reason he looks half decent like a piece of half used toilet tissue is because he has Plax, Toomer and Shockey. Tiki used to take off alot of the pressure, but this year we will see him for what he really is, a sub mediocre QB. Also it doesn't hurt to have some protection, Offensive Line that is

I would say that Coles, Cotch, Baker is better than Plax, Toomer and Shockey...

Eli is significantly better than Chad. It's not even close.

The same guy who has 5 INTs already, the guy who has NEVER won a playoff game, the guy who was shutout at home in a playoff game and the guy who has 1 winning season. Yep clearly eli is significantly better than Chad.:drunk:

This is a thread that is actually deserving of junc's stats. With all the negativity to chad because of the loss, people forget that he's still been a good quarterback for us. Last year he was probably a top 10 quarterback. He's much better than Eli anyway

Eli has a better arm. Would this even be close if Chad had a big arm?

Hell I would take his 2002 arm. He never had a cannon but he could make *most* of the throws, but now with a bum shoulder he takes what he can get.

Chad is better; hands down. I am not as focused on this particular moment in time, but Chad has accomplished much more than Eli. Chad has more wins, more playoff appearances, and more playoff wins than Eli.

Give Chad a defense who is good and playing well, and much of today's problems go away in terms of wins and losses. It still may not be as pretty as we would like but in the end game, when a W is notched on the board; it really is all that matters.

When Dilfer won the SB for the Ravens; offensively, he really pretty much sucked. Defensively it was a near masterpiece. Irrespective of how it was done, Dilfer gets full credit for a SB win.

    Good question.

I chose Chad, because of Eli's five-cent head.

I also chose Chad because he's not a bad quarterback. Hell, Trent Dilfer was a weak-armed, efficient quarterback and won a championship. He had a stronger offensive line and a MUCH stronger running game. Not having either of those, Chad's weak arm has to carry a disproportionate share of the offensive load. For the talent around him, he's the wrong quarterback. That doesn't make him a bad quarterback.

Over their careers? Obviously Chad (happy junc?)

Right now, and moving forward? Manning by a mile.... I don't think Eli is great, but I'll tell you one thing, we would have beaten the PISS out of the Bills and their two backup CBs if Eli had been our QB last week... He's a little topsy-turvy mentally, but he is NOT afraid to take shots, and throw it up for his WRs to make plays.... Coles and Cotchery would put up AMAZING numbers with a guy like Eli throwing them the ball....

I'd give the edge to Chad for his mental composition, but Eli has the physical tools Chad has never, and never will, have.

If Eli was half as "bright" as Chad, he'd be 3/4 as good as his big brother, and that would 2x the QB Chad is.

But Eli isn't that bright. He's got physical talent, but it doesn't equate with making him better.

    Well, It is Chad's 8th season and Eli's 4th...

I've been a fan of Eli's and I'd have to say without a doubt his career from here on out is better...

The guy has an arm - The mental part might come slower than Chad but, i think it's coming - Chad can never get the arm Eli has.

At this point in their respective careers, Manning has way more upside. He is just coming into his own. Because of the injuries Pennington has sustained, he is on the downside. If you could make a Frankenback out of the two with Manning's arm and Pennington's brain, you would have - Payton Manning:breakdance:

Right now Chad is a very mediocre QB who is clearly on the downside of his career. Eli was thrown to the wolves with a team in complete disaray including the staff and his talent is starting to rise above it. You can see now why the Giants wanted Eli over Rivers. While Rivers may end up as a good QB he also has a pop gun arm and doesn't have any where near the upside that Eli does. The Giants have a Jets practice squad running back making Thomas Jones look like he should be his backup simple because of the fear of the Giants passing game.

  20. Over their careers thus far: Chad

    Now and long term: Eli
