You're being targeted specifically. You're just the only person actually responding to this thread. Jake generalized when he said "you all". He wasn't talking about you in specific. So I don't know how you're being targeted. We're generalizing the reactions of the Mets fans just as your fan base was doing to us.

What's wrong with him doing that? That's exactly what happened in the GYC thread! As for the other quote, yes, he was singling you out, but what was so "fraud" about his comment to you? This is indeed a thread to celebrate the greatest collapse in the history of baseball, and any Mets fan entering this thread should be prepared to deal with that.
Oh, right, the Angels. I was a little young back then, but I don't think the expectations for that team was as great as the Mets this year. However, Point taken.
Yisman,i feel bad for you man. You aren't even a guilty one in the GYC anti Yankees stuff,and only you and a few others are in here. The gulity have all scattered like turkeys on thanksgiving.
naturally, that's usually the way it works. The perpetrators run for the hills, until it's their turn to taunt again. Just like what happened here, that we have extra fans piling on for their taunting time.

What you would do well to realize is that the taunting is more of a personal satisfaction at their own redemption and expressing it through the act of taunting much more than a reveling in the suffering of any specific Mets fan. You don't like it? Okay. I get that. But don't you think it's a little self-absorbed to assume that this really has anything to do with you. It'd be like a Yankee fan actually taking offense at New Englanders when they start doing something asinine like chanting "Yankees suck!" at a football game. Sure, I think it's dumb, and it tends to just reaffirm my generally poor opinion of their fan base... but at the same time, I don't think it's TO or AT Yankee fans. It's just their dumb way of bonding with each other. Laughing at this horrific Mets collapse after hearing it from Mets fans all year is just a nice release. My advice would be to let them (us) enjoy it. Sorry you're associated with the group of people who participated in the stupidity of the GYC thread... but it's only by team affiliation. You know what'd make you feel better? Rooting for a playoff team. You can always become a Yankee fan, you know.
