    No. Fatcessa is right.

That game, particularly the next to last posession with 7 minutes left and down 2 scores, shoved in the eyes, of even the most ardent Chad defenders(notice the sig.....) that the time has come to declare his asset what it really is.....the backup saftey blanket.

    oh hobbes......

come now - there have been numerous games in the past where the jets needed to have that 20 yard out, or that 25 yard seam, or that 10 yard laser in the red zone - and they couldn't because of the QB limitations which are magnified against the pressure defenses.

my beef with CP and its getting a tad worse is not the actual throws he does make (and he makes many nice ones) its the ones he can't and that limits the jets offensive playbook by a significant amount.

I agree, but generally the instances have been limited to a degree, that you could rationalize the trade off. After the Down two scores, I need 4 Minutes to get it down the field with only 7 to go drive, no one can rationally make that argument.

Buffalo was playing off the ball..... but not DEEP.

Had they been Playing DEEP, Cotchery, or Coles or Leon could have caught the ball 10 yards down the field, and picked up 5-10 more on YAC. That didnt happen. Chad hit 1 20+ yard throw to Smith.

And I know Clemens only played 1 good quarter in Baltimore, but he did it against a better defense, and with the same crew.

Oh...and P.S...Is anyone aware that Clemens, STILL has one more 20+ yard pass play (KC-5, CP-4), than Chad does???????

I cringe each time Chad puts the ball in the air, I fear for the lives of our recievers

You starting to second guess your support for Chad?

Good point about the spot. I thought it was bad at the time.

No. Even on this team, he could still win, IF the rest of the team was playing better.

However, given the unfortunate circumstance we find ourselves in, the only thing to do at this point is take the shot.

Either, it works out and you get back on track, or you move up the draft board.

    Lets face it.

If Vilma tackles around the ankles, instead of getting a piece of the face mask, they take 3 instead of 7, and Chads subsequent TD puts us up by one.

But that 4 minute 2 minute drill, was painful to watch.....

Unfortunately I have to agree with you. Hopefully Clemens is the real deal and we can use our picks to fix both sides of the line.

The problem with the last 2 minute drill is that Chad wasn't playing in reality. That's not a good sign. When you have to have 43 yards in 1:56 for a long FG and can't get there because you're chewing 25 seconds off the clock on 1 to 7 yard pases there is something definitely wrong.

The INT was the killer but why did the Jets need to be in desperation mode with 12 seconds on the clock when they started with 1:56? Think about it, he didn't throw incompletes he just completed no passes of significance on the drive. It was like he was dumping the ball off to Leon Washington wherever he could find him and thinking "go get me 40 yards!" Little old lady at the slot machines, that's what it looked like to me.

I dont think the last one was nearly as bad as the Next to last posession.

7 minutes left, and he took so long to score that if the Defense couldnt get a 3 and out, he would not have even gotten the ball back.

Absolutely right. I was yelling for a challenge. It looked like he had the first. If you challenge and lose, it costs you the same time out that they considered calling anyway. Then, during the delay, you set up the fourth down play. I couldn't believe we punted and I thought a challenge would have succeeded.

I had a bad dream that 'Nuge lost the game for us on a missed 32yrd attempt early in the game. That miss and Chads late INT both cost us 3pts.

I was at the Monday Night Game in Oakland like five(?) years ago when we were down and driving to tie / win the game at the end of the 4th Quarter.

With the ball around midfield and only a few ticks remaining, we basically had to throw a hail Mary into the end zone. So what happens? We watch as Chad lamely scrambles to his right and throws a line drive floater that goes about 20 yards and gets picked (or batted down, can't remember)....end of game.

My brother and I were just staring at each other like WT-- F just happened? Why didn't Chad throw a hail Mary?? .....until we realized that WAS Chad's Hail Mary....

I bet Joe Namath at 65 could still throw the ball harder than our boy Chadwick.

I want Chad out. Sick and tired of watching him. I don't care if we lose the next 12 games with Clemens. Start him now.

This is not hyperbole. Chad has on numerous occasions at the end of a half, or even a game, thrown wildly inappropriate passes that did not take into account the game state. He did it repeatedly in that last drive but he's been doing it for years.
