Thanks. I'm a Dodger fan, we got our meltdown out of the way in August so I could get ready for football. Now I'm ready for hockey and hoops. AC Fiorentina hosts Juventus this week too, they have started nicely.
Hideki Matsui will likely be a designated hitter when the New York Yankees open the playoffs Thursday at Cleveland. Matsui hit just .185 in September with two homers and 12 RBIs and had fluid drained from his right knee on Sunday in New York. Yankees manager Joe Torre said Monday that Johnny Damon could start in left field and that he also was thinking about using rookie Shelley Duncan, a right-handed hitter, against C.C. Sabathia in Game 1. "I'm pretty comfortable with way Johnny's played left field," Torre said. Sabathia is 1-7 with a 7.13 ERA against the Yankees but hasn't faced them since 2004. o-------k??? No problem with the Damon and Matsui things but Duncan starting against Sabathia? I'm sure he must know something we don't....or.....or....or....
Im getting annoyed they haven't released the times of the games yet Ugh, the longest break between games of the year, luckily I have the game today and hockey on wednesday!
I don't think I'd start Duncan, but I'll have some faith. So what is the roster for the postseason? Is it up on the Yankees site?
The key for you guys is winning game 1. (Obviously) If you can beat Sabathia I see a sweep because I think you guys will hit Carmona although he seems to have regained his form from early in the season. The Indians are young and don't have much postseason experience so I think you guys will breeze through them if you can get by Sabathia. The key to Cleveland is Sizemore. If he has a big series it could be a rough series but if you keep him in check you have a great shot at getting to the ALCS. If I was a Yank fan I'd be rooting hardcore for the Sox because I don't think you have much a shot at the Angels. Then again I don't think Boston does either.
First post is updated with the times (all are scheduled for TBS)/All Times Eastern: Game 1: 6:30 Game 2: 5 Game 3: 6:30 Game 4: 6 Game 5: 5 ------------ Ugg this sucks  I will be able to watch the full game 1 and 2, but am gonna have to skip 2 soccer practices if it goes to 4 games, and another one if it goes the full 5
Agreed...ALL of the Boston games are in primetime, couldn't they at least at a couple Yankee games a little later
I'm not gonna complain that much. I have work in the mornings now. Wasn't a concern before. But as a ticket plan holder, I had no idea about this schedule. Could change how i pick which games to go to.
According to wildthing, if the Sox series ends in 3 games, our game 4 would move to 7:30 Eastern, and if the Sox series ends in less than 5 our game 5 would move to 8:30 Eastern
Boston won their division and people like them. Everybody hates the Yankees except Yankee fans. Unless they're losing nobody wants to watch them. People are tired of them, can you blame us?
My point isn't that all of the Yanks games should be in primetime, but Im saying at least 1 or 2 should be. Also, Im pretty sure a ton of people would love to watch the Yankees lose:smile:
Until Mussina's last start I think he was a lock to start Game 4 but we'll see. Hopefully things changed w/ Mussina's last start and hughes last start.
