Isn't it priceless how all the Mets fans have Indians logos? Would anyone want to bet that if the Yankees missed the playoffs and the Mets were playing, say, the Diamondbacks round one, that there would be no Yankees fans with Diamondbacks logos as avatars?
Spot on... I could care less about the Mets... but the GMC is a good way to let their fans reap what they've sewn... all season they reveled in the Yanks tough start and as they Yanks got their act together & their team stumbled they all seemed to disappear in the Yankee threads... maybe next season they'll learn from this... but I doubt it
I missed this... Did you happen to see what we did to Dice-Gay, Schilling, Douchelbon and the rest of the Red Sux pen? but they own us? Even Ortiz popped up with the bases juiced... Classic
Last year, a few Yankee fans had Cardinals logos as avatars (I don't remember which posters), otherwise, my avatar would still be Johnny Cash. Edit: plus, I'm pretty sure I'm the only one. Italian Seafood is a Dodgers fan. I am not all of the Mets fans. If you're going to call me out, just say my name.
The Mets did not make the playoffs because Rick Peterson did not remove his jacket while a game was going on. That's all there is to blame on this collapse. .... G.M.C.
You know what let me apologize to you guys, I guess us Met fans deserve some of this. I shouldn't be that guy to not let you guys have some fun at the expense of us. I've blown off some steam in the last 24 hours and I'm not gonna give you guys anymore shit about this thread. I certainly have the right to be pissed but I'm not pissed at you guys, I wanna make that perfectly clear. Although I think to compare what the Mets did vs. the Yankees is ridiculous go ahead and have your fun. I've stated that I always thought the Phils were better than the Mets and I even posted that since June 1 the Phils were 16 games above .500 vs the Mets 3. The Phils beat teh Mets 11 out of 14 games since June 1. The Mets failure was inevitable but it's just so horrible that it happened the way it did. And for the record and Alio will back me up on this I was never one to say the Yanks were dead. I talked trash during the Subway games but for the most part I've been on the side of you guys about fixing things and not quiting on the season when so many of you wanted to. I'm still rooting for you guys to lose and I still hate everything associated with the Yankees but like I said at the begining of the post enjoy this because you'll probably never see anything like it ever again.
Really? http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/stats/playercompare?sort=22&cat=Batting&pids[5406]=1&pids[7066]=1
By all Met fans don't you mean just 1? Yankee fans generalizing as usual, so I can assume that all the Yankee fans are just bandwagon fans from '96
Well considering most of them weren't alive when they won before then I'd say likely. I'm a Mets fan because of 86. I was 7 and really didn't know a whole lot about baseball yet. Just that I collected the cards. I played T ball on the Orioles so I rooted for them but when the Mets won I saw something in the tri-state area at such a young age that I was instantly hooked. Even when the Giants won the SB a few months later and the Yanks won in 96 I've never seen anything like it. The only thing that comes even close to the feeling I saw was when the Rangers won the Stanley Cup in 94. Thank god for 86 or I'd probably still be an Orioles fan doomed to a life of suffering and Peter Angelos.
even when we won the division in 05 and 06? and they didn't make the playoffs last year they were still better?
really. that's interesting. So Exit 117 now comprises "all" Mets fans? I'm still a Mets fan, and I don't seem to have an Indians avatar. Do I need to get one to prove my fanhood?
