Nah....because they would still be about 13 championships short. Sorry...I cant resist. Listen, Met fans posted that GYC thread before the body was even cold. Even with all of our championships (two mentions so far..one post), that hurt...and there were the Met fans...at home without a team in the world series for the thousandth time throwing salt on the wound. We all knew this thread was coming if the Mets chocked..and quite honestly its very deserved. It demands attention. Wonder if anyone has posted in that GYC thread the past month..probably a little quiet in September huh? Bottom line is that I do really feel for the Met fans today. What they should understand is that for me, not speaking for the masses, I got some enjoyment out of it only because of the enjoyment Met fans got out of the Yankee collapse.

I love the jealousy of you Skank fans, junc claims it's not jealousy but we all know you guys know you have no hope to win a WS this year so go ahead and take joy at the failure of the Mets. Did it ever occur to you guys that maybe.... just maybe the Phillies are better than the Mets? I knew it since April when I predicted the Phils would win the NL East but got off to an awful start ironically when Howard was injured. Phillies are 16 games over .500 since June 1 Mets are 3 Again taking away April the Phillies were 11-3 against the Mets Have your fun but unlike you Yankee fans could never do with Boston I'll tip my hat to the Phillies and say they ARE a better team than the Mets and they deserved the NL East Title. The best team won the NL East and it wasn't proven in September it was proven all season, it's just the Mets got off to a hot start and the Phils spuddered out of the gate. Ironically when the reining MVP was injured. If Howard doesn't get hurt early in the season this isn't even a discussion, the Phils woulda won the division by 5 or 6 games. They were clearly better than the Mets. GYC forever.....

Hmmm they've only been the BEST team in the AL East since 04. It's a good thing for you guys they won't make it past the Angels so they won't have to kick your ass in the playoffs again.
