...our run defense ranking. Because we can't get any pressure on the QB, teams aren't running the ball as frequently against this defense, which means our run defense has risen to #18 in the NFL! We actually appear mediocre against the run (as opposed to pathetic) thanks to an anemic pass rush. Thanks front seven!

What can I say? I'm bored with the 8 million anti-Chad threads tonight.

Wish we could still rate threads. This would get 5 stars in my book!

We should start a thread on how much opposing QBs are picking on Revis. That deserves one as we spent half our draft on him.

Revis did get picked on yesterday, but a large part of that was that Dyson was in the game... When Dyson wasn't in the game, Edwards went away from Revis, towards Barrett....

Revis, as talented as he is, is still a rookie.... He made a couple plays, but for the most part he let up too much of the underneath stuff....

What I was impressed with though is that he made the big play when it really mattered....

Our defense was LOUSY yesterday considering the mediocre competition, however, they DID force two TOs, and only allowed 17 points (including a drive that started inside their own 30)....

I think the defense still has a long way to go, but they're making progress...

    Baby steps....

Honestly the defense did a DECENT job yesterday against the run early on. If they played better against the pass then it actually would've been a pretty good defensive game, all things considered. Not the worst performance of the year by far by the D... but tehn again against the worst offense in the NFL.

Which made it the worst showing of the year. Buffalo averaged 200 yards of total offense per game coming in and we made them look like the Colts in comparison.

Bottom line is Jets suck right now. Offense needs to stay on the field AND put up points, defense actually needs to get penetration at the point of attack. Until that starts happening we are going to see the same crap week in and week out.

Our defense was pretty lousy against the pass, but we did manage to hold Lynch under his average YPC for the season....

Evans was bound to get out of the slump eventually.....

Like I said, we still have a LONG way too go, but we made a little progress yesterday.... Got to keep taking baby steps...
