You never actually HAVE to take the Jets, or 14 other teams for that matter. You make 17 picks in 17 weeks with 32 teams to choose from. If I was betting the farm this week, and wanted to save some of the better teams for later, I'd take Miami at home against a mediocre Oakland team. Miami, while their defense is aging, still has too many weapons on both sides to go 0-16, and while I'd love to see Oakland win this one, I think this is the week Miami gets off the shnide. I actually think that pick is marginally safer than Jets over Bills or Chargers over KC.

Yeah we do. Whether it will happen or not is not certain in the immediate future, but watching Chad "march" his team up the field in a two minute drill by throwing 3 yard passes has to have affected Mangini some. Especially when he looks at the film and realizes how much having Chad at QB handicaps the offense in pressure situations. We don't beat the Dolphins last year and make the playoffs if Leon Washington doesn't rumble 64 yards with a 3 yard dumpoff last season.
