The guy who gives the Jets the best chance to win regardless of what the opponent is bringing to the game. I'm pretty sure that's Clemens at this point.
Penny numbers may look OK, but they are a false indication of what has happened so far this season. That said, bringing in KC now would probably undermine the confidence of the rest of the team unless they would feel shamed enough to call to arms. KC woud also have to step up and play big, but I still don't think he'll be an elite QB. I know that may not seem fair since he hasn't been given the chance, but it's just my feeling.
I want to see our QB throwing the ball downfield to his recievers, which have played extremely well. Chad hasn't been doing this. I'm certainly ready for the Clemens era to begin.
Its interesting. We had this poll 2 weeks ago after the Ravens game, and it was dead even. I voted for Clemens both times.
What's really interesting is that Chad has completed 47 out of 61 passes in the interim two weeks and he has lost most of his support. Maybe people are starting to realize that 5 yard passes are not hard to complete.
Same here... I expect half as many votes in this one, since a) It's after a BAD loss... The other one was after an encouraging loss b) The people who support Pennington have been fewer and farther between this week
Very true. What we've seen from Chad these last 2 weeks is nothing different than his capabilities for almost his entire career.
The rope is not only getting shorter, it is slowly being taken from around Chad's neck and placed around Mangini's.
As long as Chad is on this roster then Chad. Clemens is the future of this team no doubt. No sense in getting him killed behind this oline.
I say Pennington, because I don't think he was that bad today. However if we lose next week and Chad does bad Id give Kellen a shot the week after just to see what he has. But Pennington deserves to start next week in my opinion
Well I'm for a change if for nothing more than seeing what he can do. All this talk about saving Clemens 'cause the line stinks and he may get hurt is silly. Number one, it's football and number two he is way more mobile than that statue Pennington.
He took enough pressure from a defense missing almost half of its starters. Fact is this was the 32nd ranked defense. It will only get worse from here, not better.
