Israel, if nothing else, is a smart QB, he won't throw many INTs this year, the one against texas, deflected off of Rocky. The fumble problem will fix itself since GOL is going to use Greco at QB as well this week. Greco, besides the fact he hasnt played competively in a few years is probably a better overal QB, and he is fast.
Looking at a potential sell out for the memphis game, thats gonna be huge, we've sold over 41,000 as of 6pm wednesday and should finish up with 42-43 thousand by friday, and then with walk ups, should easily be a packed house for the CUSA opener.

They still had lottery tickets available the other day...what's up with people not grabbing the free tickets? They even had to hand out a few of them for the Texas opener, I can't believe people are passing up the freebies, I know I'm not =)

    aint that the truth.

Well, hopefully we continue playing solid ball and take care of the next 3 conference games so we can go into RayJay with just 1 loss and upset the Bulls.

I was impressed with Greco, too - I think he'll be exciting when he takes over next season. All in all I'm excited about the way our program is headed.

UCF has climbed to 35th in the AP poll!
We should steamroll ULL, east carolina will be tough on the road, but the true test is October 13th. USF.If we beat USF, I'd bet money we crack the top 25.

I hope I'm able to travel to the USF game, that would be a huge win for us. Oh and those morons throwing water bottles in the stands should cut that shit out.

the talk on the UCF board are saying there will be 30,000 Knight fans in tampa. It would be bowl atmosphere if thats the case, the stadium would never shut up. RayJay is big enough if they open the upper bowl. I want to go, and probably will, but there fans are real assholes, they keyed my car after they won in orlando last year.

That's ridiculous. We were parked at some god forsaken lot with barely any room to move outside the citrus bowl. I'm so glad, we no longer have to go there. My friend's car was damaged after the UF blowout last year. I should be able to go, but who knows what will come up.

    UCF-37 ULL-19
Kevin "24K" Smith padded his stats, and reinforced his push for the Doak with 33 carries, 223 yards [6.8 ypc] and 3 TDs.

With those numbers he'll lead the nation in yards per game, and I think he'll be tied for 1st in rushing TDs.
He's 3rd in the nation in rushing yards, behind Eugene Jarvis and Mike Hart.

It was scary when he went down though - supposedly he had a just had a stinger in the shoulder, but they talked to him in the locker room afterwards and he said he's a leader of this team and will be practicing Monday. Gotta love that.

At least 1 of my teams has a little heart, the Jets and Mets don't.

coming off an embarrasing loss last saturday to ECU in which our QB threw for over 300 yards, and Kevin Smith [for heisman] ran for 147, we turn our heads to the 5th best team in the nation... South Florida.

    Reasons to watch this game:
    1. Kevin Smith
    2. UCF and USF could combine for the NCAA record for turnovers in a single game.
    3. Kevin Smith
    4. The upset is always possible [although i'm not nearly as optimistic about this game as I was about Texas.]
    5. Its a game/rivalry that could be as big as UM and FSU used to be. If Jim Levitt allows it to continue.

More importantly, Kevin Smith is playing.

I thought UCF had a good chance in this game. Apparently not.

UCF just kept shooting themselves in the foot, over and over again. Despite that they did keep it close for the better part of the 1st half, then that TD right before the half crushed their spirits.

At least they return to the home crowd next week; hopefully they can right themselves against Tulsa and stay in the C-USA hunt.
