I'm ready to take all the criticism, statistics, and bullshit you guys throw at me. Trade Pennington It's not that im a huge Clemens fan or think that Chad is playing that poorly. Its Penningtons supporting cast and the front office. He will never win the superbowl with this team. They either dont give him enough time, cant run the football, cant stop the run, cant get a pass rush, or his noodle arm cant make the longer throws outside the hash marks (as you can see thats way too many problems to have rotating series in and series out). After all of these years it is pretty obvious that they reached their max with him and this squad. The jets have to trade him, start Clemens the rest of this season to get some experience, and use the draft picks from Pennington to fill some much needed holes. Im a huge Jets fan but there is absolutely no way that this team can make it this year. Their offense struggled against the worst defense in the NFL and their defense gives up too many yards and lets too many bad teams make the look silly. They got completely hammered by the Patriots, got beat by Kyle Boller and the ravens, deserved to lose to miami for being so terrible in the 4th quarter, then lost to the fucking BILLS with all those injuries. I wouldnt be suprised if the giants and eagles score 45 points a peice against the Jets. The Jets need to start new at the expense of Chad Pennington. I wish him well. Hes a good quarterback who did very well with the jets and gave them some really good years. Hes playing well this year and will have a few more good years. The Jets just wont make it to a superbowl with Chad and Chad wont make it to the superbowl with the Jets. If we keep Chad this is going to be the same team next year, and the same team the year after that. It just kills me that the Jets front office and most Jets fans are happy with just being average and thrilled to be anything more then that. You know there are teams out there that make moves, fix things that dont work, and dont make excuses for themselves. The Jets need to start applying that mentality to their operations and start this team over NOW, so they dont spend the next 5 years just being OKAY.

and, to think, you guys all flamed me 3 years ago when i first pointed out/called him ' ol noodle arm'. what remains to be seen is if our head coach has a noodle brain. with the 3-4 not working and starting noodle at qb, you wonder if he doesn't watch the game film or is spending too much time taking advice from elmo on seasame street....hmy: :sad:
If AJ Feeley can command a second round pick, we should be able to do better. We have options. The Bears are an out of conference team that are a perfect fit for Chad... they have everything BUT a qb... he would be perfect for them. As we saw with the Jones trade they aren't shrewd negotiators. If they aren't interested, then we have Herm, who considers Chad to be like a son to him. KC doesn't have a QB either. Chad isn't a great fit in KC but if we can lift some good draft picks for him, then do it. If we can get a 1st round pick + more for Chad from ANYONE... do it.
Chad doesn't fit in NFL. Chitown fans will call for his head once Chad starts DDP cycle there. Moreover, remember Randy Moss was only worth 4th round pick. At that rate, you'd be very, VERY lucky to exchange Chad for a piece of ham sandwich. Of course I agree that man with no brain shouldn't be a QB, I also think that man without an arm shouldn't play QB either. A QB should have BOTH.
Vick is a loser in life not on the football field. He'll be back giving opposing Ds fits and Penny will be holding a clipboard.
