i think the biggest shocker was OK losing to the buffs. auburn has a good team and they always play tough with UF. i think the gators were overhyped going into this year (no offense gator fans). i know rutgers had a soft sched early...but i figured theyd lose later in the year to WV or USF. on a completely unrelated note did anyone watch the WVU/USF game friday? very exciting game. sloppy at times, but exciting.

Mangini can't start Clemens next week when this loss isn't entirely Pennington's fault. The 0-line is just as guilty IMO. The defense played like crap. I'd bench Vilma and let Harris play full time before I'd bench Pennington. I'm not saying at some point (another 2 losses in 3 games) that we don't move to Clemens to figure out if he's the future, but what's the evidence that Chad should be benched at this point? I'd say the first INT was his fault for sure, but if fuxxin Nuge hits the Field goal at the end of the half, we're looking at OT in the last drive and not tying the game. By the way, where is Kerry Rhodes this season. The guy's a joke this year and clearly a key difference in the D's performance this year.
I mentioned this in the original post..but I've determined that the reason Rhodes isnt making as many plays is b/c the pass rush upfront is so bad..that he's forced to play in the 2 deep to try and prevent big plays. If we could manufacture an acual pass rush...you'd see Rhodes making just as many plays as he made last year.
That could be. I was going to add in prior post that if they're gameplanning him, then someone else (read Coleman) should be picking up some plays and he's clearly not. Also, is the cat out of the bag on Schottenheimer. The O just doesn't seem as imaginative as it was last year. I don't know if it's execution or everyone's familiarity with the team in its second year. Very disappointing. But like you said, bad penalties are undermining what momentum we can generate.
