And now Phillies up by 6. Not good. I think everyone needs to calm down, though. Worst case scenario, we're tied at the end of the night. This is terrible, considering where we were just two weeks ago, but, we'd still have a very good chance of making the playoffs, and anything can happen there. I'm grasping at straws, I know, but I don't think it makes sense to just give up.
I don't like the idea of being tied when Martinez and Smoltz were the guys who got it tied. The Phillies will face crap Washington pitchers. First of all, Washington fucked us up. Maybe they do the same to Atlanta. Second of all, so what? We got a chance. And we could still win this game.

If the Mets can't generate any offense with the top of the lineup coming up here in the 6th, we can forget about this game. Atlanta put up 3 in the 6th. Philly can still choke that one away, Philly style. Can't rule that out.
I can't believe we're getting 3 hit by Joel Pinero in the most important game of the season. This is insane.
