Didnt see this posted anywhere and im sorry i cant link bc my right click is broken but i was reading on KFFL.com that after the game in the tunnel Shaun Ellis got into it with Miami CB Travis Daniels and Ellis had to be restrained by officials.

Ellis said he was talking trash all game and even into the tunnel. Is it possible that Ellis let him know that he was stiff armed almost to the Hudson River??

Here is the story from KFFL.

Jets | Ellis almost fights after game
    Mon, 24 Sep 2007 14:50:49 -0700

Mark Cannizzaro, of the New York Post, reports New York Jets DL Shaun Ellis almost fought with Miami Dolphins CB Travis Daniels after the team's Week 3 game. The two were engaged in a shouting match and Ellis had to be restrained by Jets officials. "He was talking trash all game, particularly on the onsides kicks (on the final plays of the game). He wouldn't shut up and then he came after me in the tunnel and kept talking trash," Ellis said.

Why would Travis Daniels talk shit to Shaun Ellis? That wouldn't even be close to a fair fight.

Read this on a few jets beat writers blogs, not the best matchup. They should have camera's in the tunnels.

If he was one on one with Ellis, he would never. With his whole team around to protect him, he yaps like a lapdog.

I like our players being pissed off. Our defensive players should be especially pissed off.

Yeah, I would just prefer they get pissed during the game and on the field. Not Kyle Turley style or anything, though.

Maybe Ellis didn't like hearing that his play this year has sucked, but is consistent with his play from last year.

Two recent additions to the defense. Slowly but surely.

Shame it wasn't on the way to the field and not coming off it. Daniels should prod him with a stick next time.

Go figure that a guy who held out for nearly all of TC is the standout on the team.

I heard that Bender got between them and Ellis couldn't get around him.

    ROFL!

Hopefully our D will catch up with the talent they have and start making plays. I'd personally rather start slow and progress throughout the season than vice versa. Not that either are inevitable outcomes, but we do have enough talent to at least have a formidable D.

I think the bottom line is, this organization knows what players it needs for its system, and is actively seeking them out through the draft. I know it sucks to rebuild but we are essentially doing so. I can not wait to see this team with a real OLB, real NT, and a real Guard. I believe these three area's will be updated tremendously within the next year.
