jimmy rollins: .876 September OPS and the 4th best hitter on his team david wright: 1.083 September OPS and the best hitter on his team shut up mccarver.
Yeah, I don't get the Rollins arguement at all. Wright has 30 HR, 30 SB, .300 BA, 100 RBI...What more do you want? Add in the fact that Wright trumps Rollins in both BA and OBP, when Rollins is a leadoff hitter, and it's case closed in my book.
i think the knock on castro is his health. i remember hearing the marlins let him go because he got hurt when he was playing consistently and the same thing happened this year when loduca went down.
Good point...But none of the free agent options are remotely appealing. I don't even know who we'd trade for, unless we pull off some sort of OF prospect for Saltalamacchia swap that would only happen in a video game.
posada is the only possible good one and he's going to want alot of money and years. barrett has been very good offensively prior to this season but he's been real bad this year.
That's just it. Plus, I don't think anyone below 30 who's decent is available. Where does that leave us?
that last swing didnt look good for delgado we'll have to see but he may have reaggravated his injury.
I know that the poor play of the Mets recently is a big story, but it seems a little strange to me that they keep talking about how terrible things are for the Mets in a game that they're winning 7-1.
Well, it is FOX...Perez making a strong case for him being in the postseason rotation. I wouldn't mind El Duque coming out of the bullpen, it worked out pretty well for the White Sox a couple years ago.
5 run lead in the 9th and 8 innings from your starting pitching and willie can still foul up the bullpen usage. unreal really nice to see a good outing from perez even with terrible outfield defense behind him today.
