Are Mets fans concerned about losing the East..or the possibility of missing the Playoffs. The schedule slightly favors you, but is there concern in Queens?
I tried to be concerned. But I really wasnt. I always thought we'd be okay although the past few days I was a little sure of this.
A lot. Mets seem to be a real joke, to me. Do I think they won't make it? No. But I still fear it. It's the type of thing that happens to this team.
The bigger question should be are they concerned they will get past the first three games of the playoffs if they get in it.
I'm not as concerned about missing the playoffs as I am about getting WAXED in the playoffs IF we make it... We're way too inconsistent to make a run right now.
2000 Yankees finished the season 3-14 and nealry blew an 8 game lead in similar fashion... we all know how that went. The history books are full of teams that limped in and then turned it around in the second season. I agree they're inconsistent right now but the playoffs are 2 weeks away, our play could be turned around quickly.
Sort of an odd avatar you have there considering the Phillies have bitchslapped the Mets this year. Of course, the Mets can still win the division and beat the Phillies that way.
