thats your mother f'ing job as a WR is to get open. The other half is catching the ball that is thrown to you.. Im still a little upset coles didnt make the endz zone catch... and that i would consider an incredible cqatch if he made that..you come to expect that from him

but Mccariens, i will not sit here and defend anything. He dropped the ball, literally

Yes it was, any NFL WR should make that catch. Coles should have caught the one in the end zone as well. That was a much more difficult catch to make than the 2nd JMac one, still should have been caught though.

Coles definitely should have caught that one in the end zone but it was under thrown and we absolutely expect more out of Coles.

have not read many prior posts but does anyone think the velocity difference may have had something to do with Jmac.

not a big deal on throws into the breadbasket but on throws above your head and to outstretched hands, it definitely matters.

in camp they setup those machines that shoot the football out at a high speed at all different areas. Point being he should have caught 1 of the 2 passes if not both

Of the three near-completions in the 4th Quarter, I thought that one was the least catchable.

i agree, but like i said also, you come to expect coles to make those catches. Hes been doing it for so long. besides the point, he wouldnt have even had to make that catch if McCariens makes the 1st one

I was thinking the same thing, Jill. Our receivers aren't used to that kind of velocity coming from the QB.

Good call. I thought the same thing. But, if that ball was intended for Cotch, it wasn't high enough.

Anyways, I'm not gonna fault J-Mac for that second flubbed catch but the first one was just terrible.

Passes to your ankles are about the hardest catches to make. Coles is capable of making a lot of catches, but that one was pretty low.

Still, he manned up to it in the post-game interviews and said (I'm paraphrasing), "Put the loss of the game on me for the missed catch." I think he did this because he knew how upset (rightfully so) McCareins was with himself.

Not a chance. We've heard all preseason that JMac and KC have built up a rapport, and we've seen it in the preseason games. Straight up choke. No excuse.

If Coles had caught that ball in the endzone, it would have been the catch of the season thus far. I rewound it a few times and could count the blades of grass being bent before it got to him..

Coles play was catchable, but it was a tough catch, and that play is more on the poor throw from Clemens.

Both of the McCareins passes have to be caught, they were right in his hands.

I know he's a rookie and I know he's injured right now, but Stuckey would have caught both those passes that McCareins blew. That kid is the real deal.

Can't wait for him to get healthy. I'd bench JMAC and play Stuckey behind Coles and Cotchery.
