You're probably right. He was being sarcastic and I missed it. I need to start drinking during Jet's games again.
You can't lay Herm Edwards on Mangini's doorstep. But I think we need to get Bradway the fuck out of town pronto and re-evaluate our talent acquisition.
One of those "Normal Teams" from last year just dropped a 51 spot on the Bengals today. Dude, we font even have a sack yet...I mean that in every way possible!!
1996 and 2005 were worse, no question. This team may still have some life against the weaker part of the schedule, we'll have to wait and see.
I am so confused ... Is are defensive talent that bad? Are the Pats and Ravens that good? Are our schemes and coaches that clueless? My best explanation is that our arrogant coaches are not getting the most of our less than average talent against good competiton and its pissing me off! Hey Eric instead of watching those boxing films, go watch a biography of Don Shula. A coach that made the best of what he had on the roster. Larry Czonka + Decent QB (Greise) = Dolphins are a Running Team Dan Marino + Crappy running backs = Dolphins are a passing team Johnathan Vilma - Stud in a 4-3 defense ... Jets go back to 4-3 It was Shulas ability to get the most out of his teams that made him a Hall of Fame coach ... my God I am touting a Dolphin Coach ... OHH the Madness !!!
Wasn't that the knock on Herm and his staff? Not getting the most of the players on the roster??? I guess "Mangenius" will get yet another pass complete with the usual excuses for more ineptitude..
The lines. It's the lines. You can't do anything against a good team in the NFL if your line is getting pushed back on every play. Right now the Jets have the 30-32nd worst offensive line in the league and maybe the 28-30th worst defensive line. Does not matter where the rest of the talent is if the lines are rock bottom.
Out of curiosity, exactly whose responsibility is it to get the right players to play in the existing system????
I saw the Spygate video and it was just a Bob Sutton holding up a white flag, waving it wildly in the swirling winds of the Meadowlands...weird
Evidently, he bought that surrender flag with him to Baltimore too. I'm wondering if we weren't better off with Donnie Henderson.. The Jets just can't catch a break no matter what....
It seems like deja vu with the Jets. A good year is always followed by a bad one. Interesting how we need offensive line help when we drafted two players for that role in the first round in 2006, and just re-signed Moore for at least another three seasons. But we do need help. And better talent. And bigger talent. And fuckin maulers in the trenches. I don't see it.
