    I'm really scared everyone.

My dad has the Mets game on, and I go to his room just now and see they have 2 on 2 Out and Beltran is up. I said "Beltran is going to hit a HR. If he does, you buy me lunch". Well, look what happened. I said RIGHT before Eaton threw the pitch that would be the HR.

Am I good, or am I good?

you're almost as good as I am. I did that to Jason Campbell in terms of an injury.

Castillo boots the easy DP ball for their fifth error of the game. This team is a joke.

The only problem with that is that Perez's control really isnt that much worse then the other guys you mentioned. He averages 4.2 BB/9 while Maine is at 3.6 and El Duque at 3.8. They also have pretty high strikeout rates with Perez at 8.8 K/9 and Maine and El Duque at 7.8. They're also all predominantly fly ball pitchers although again Perez is the most extreme. Can't really see why Perez has so many unearned runs other then plain old bad luck.

The Mets should be contracted. Honestly how can you even watch this garbage, it's just sickening.

Funny how Gary just made a significant comment but didn't follow up on it - "This is the way the Mets used to play against the Braves." That's exactly right, Gary, and that's 180 degrees from what true champions do.

That's a very misleading stat for Perez, since all year he has either had impeccable control or walked at least 5. It would be interesting to see if the unearned runs come in the 5-walk games rather than the good control games.

What a surprise that Mota picks up Castillo by walking the bases loaded on the next batter.

This is ridiculous. Seriously. At least the Jets come on in 20 minutes and I won't feel compelled to follow this train wreck anymore.

I still think the Mets will win the division as it would take the Phillies playing really well over these last 2 weeks coupled with a Mets collapse to blow it. I've got to say though the thought of 14 straight games to finish the season with no off days is pretty troublesome.

Willie needs to start bringing the Humbers and the Colazzos into higher leverage situations because nothing can possibly be any worse then the throw shit on the wall and see what sticks that he's taking with the bullpen now.

As much as I'm not a big fan of "roles" in the bullpen Willie obviously needs structure to prevent him from doing some real stupid things. Any game the Mets have a lead in the 7th inning it should be Feliciano-Heilman-Wagner. Period.

What makes you think the Phillies would make the playoffs? I don't think they play the Mets in any regular season games after today.

Nice to see Willie bring in Mota and his jug of gasoline into the game to put things away for the Mets (with some help in the field.)

Willie Must Go!!! He can take Mota with him.

Say what you want about Bobby Valentine, he was one heck of a game manager. Rarely was he ever out managed. This team, with this talent, would have put the dagger into the Phils under Bobby V. I'd rather have "Top Step" Bobby V, or even Morris Buttermaker managing this team instead of Willie.

mets come up 1 error short of tying the team record. i thought they should've given 2 on that castillo play.

    wright gets 30-30

willie uses heilman and feliciano in a game that's already lost with 2 straight weeks of baseball with no off days coming up

    hooray

I'm still getting over this 6 errors business. I mean, did that actually happen?

I think it's important to consider that we still have a decent lead, and we end the season with the Marlins and Nats, two series each. And as bad as they've played against the Phillies lately, it's only seven games. Let's not freak out.

If anyone's worrying about home field advantage, it should be pointed out that the Mets are the best road team and worst home team among the playoff contenders.
