http://www.nypost.com/seven/09142007/sports/fine_mess__bill_.htm The damaging part of this to me (which is what all the trolls here will notice and read only) is the statement that it did not affect the outcome of the game. None the less the cheaters were caught and maybe Belicheat can do an OJ Simpson and write a book called " If I Cheated"
The Jets offered only this prepared statement: "We support the commissioner and his findings. The focus of our organization remains on the upcoming game against Baltimore." Lets take a cue.
It's so F*CKING stupid that anyone would buy into the idea that the video was not being used to gain an edge during the game... Why the HELL would New England bother recording the Packers' and Lions' coaches if they were saving it for future use? They play those teams once every FOUR YEARS.... Goodell, like everyone else around the NFL, has Kraft's junk half-way down his throat....
This is a slap on the wrist, especially to the organization. It seems like Kraft and company convinced Goodell that Bellichick was solely responsible, so he took the brunt of the punishment, making the lack of a suspension even more surprising. What I hope was investigated is whether the organization payed for all of this equipment. If they did, the punishment should have been much more severe.
