I will start off by saying again that I am a huge Pennington fan and I was not among the fans who cheered when he got hurt.

Having said that, I am REALLY excited about the game Sunday.

These kinds of things happen alot in the NFL...

First string QB goes down with an injury and the backup comes in and steals the job away. Not saying that will happen this Sunday, but it is exciting to think of all the possibilities.

This is going to be a big challenge for him this week, but if he can pull out a good performance, I think he realizes that this could be his chance to start for the long-term.

So I guess this thread is for all the KC fans...

    Let's go Kellen Clemens!

I am a noted Penny fan.

However, I am excited to see what KC can do. I was behind Bolly and am behind Clemens.

He's making his NFL debut against the Ravens. He won't be stealing the job just yet.

I wish Clemens well and hope for the best. However, if he doesn't outperform Chad, I would hope Chad gets his job back when healthy enough.

We'd be underdogs either way, but I think I'd feel more comfortable with Pennington at the helm. The Ravens defence is quite a scary proposition for a first career start. Nonetheless, I hope KC kicks ass!!!

Let the KC era begin! I am very excited to have the ability to go downfield! This is great, lets see what KC is about and if he's as good as he was in preseason this will our starting QB and goodbye dink and doinking with noodlearm. If not either way expect a QB in the draft. Yesssssssss we can go downfield finally!!!!!!!!!! We got a real good chance to beat the Ravens this week with KC, no chance at all with CP.

I hope Clemens gets his chance this week. And if he doesn't perform, then we can look to getting a new QB next year, since CP clearly isn't the answer.

    hate on....

I kinda want to see what we have in KC

I'm not a huge fan but at worst, a good start for him while Chad sits can only help us. Either he takes over eventually or he raises his trade value (like Schaub) while the FO targets a QB they really like.

All in all, this is a good thing, we spent a high draft pick on him, we need to see him out there in a real game situation. Nothing like the Ravens D to see what he is made of.

He could be our Jeff Hostetler, only without the excellent O-Line, HOF coach and pending playoff berth.

I'm excited for KC, but the Sunshine Band hasn't done anything to give me confidence.

Pennington fan or not, who wouldn't be excited to see this kid get a crack at the real deal?

Hey, at least if he falls on his face then we will know Penny is our guy for sure.

Let's see Clemens get anywhere close to the 130 QB ranking Chad had in Week 1....

I'd settle for a 75 rating and a win, but thats just me.

I'm also a Penny fan who is excited to see what Kellen can do if Chad does not start. No matter whos under center I'm cheering for a W this week.
