I love Chad and I hope this man comes back because hes our best shot at winning but could we be going after ''Welcome To Byronville''? Chad and Byron are good enough friends and Byron Id imagine would sign on for 1 year if the Chad injury is BAD. Of course it'll take some practices for Byron to learn the playbook but I wont be shocked if Jets try and grab him.
I think Cimini is the only guy I know that I would cheer if he got hurt in some way. Hes always played with jets fans emotions when it comes to injuries. Perfect example is his f---- articles after chad got hit hard against tampa bay in the preseason last year. I was 10 feet away from cimini one time in training camp, and I still regret not having done anything to him. This guy will publish anything that will sell well. Suck on my d--- cimini.
I don't know if you wrote this yourself but if you did this is phenominal and stop on a dime accurate. BTW love the avatar.... I'll have a little Jet fan of my own in a few months. Ironically December 16th is the due date, same day we play the Pats again. Hopefully he comes a day early and can come home in his little Jets outfit and learn at age 1 day the pain of rooting for Daddy's team.
Actually.. that is the actual blog from Cimini's site. As for the avatar... thanks. She was born last December. Now that I've had some time to think about this... and read a smiliar blog... http://jets.lohudblogs.com/2007/09/10/penningtons-got-an-ouchy-ankle/ Here is my 2 cents... They say rumors from the locker room after the game.. There is no way they let Chad walk outta there without a boot or crutches if they know it's broken. I'm reasonably sure they did xrays... And if it was broken.. they stabilize til swelling goes down and they can cast it. They woudln't say walk gingerly up an incline.. your dad is waiting at the top. So... while I believe he may miss some time with bad sprain, I'm just not buying the broken thing. Especially from Cimini... who as someone pointed out.... jumps on this stuff early.
It didn't look like a break to me but who knows.....if he is protected on pass plays he can do just fine playing on it.
unless he saw xrays or anything i aint buying it. if chads ankle was fractured he would not be able to get around even with a pronounced and heavy limp....unless they dosed him up something fierce before he left the locker room...and even then he would have had a brace or something to hold his foot and ankle steady. im willing to be its a high ankle sprain, and its gonna have him out for 2 weeks. maybe more....i wouldnt be shocked if part of it was his knee....because that replay looked like his knee was a peppermill getting twisted.....
I Hope Pennington's Aright cause since 2002 Season when he has gone down with a bad injury we have gone down with him and in all the season's he was some what healthy we made the playoffs so lets hope he's aright atleast i will be.
donnivan mcnabb played for 3 quarters on a broken ankle once. beat arizona and had his best day a a pro statistically. 20-25 passing for 255 yards and 4 TD
Agreed. The fact that he continued to play and then walked home on his own is more significant than the nature of the injury, even if it is some sort of break. Ill be shocked if Pennington is off the field for Baltimore.
Maybe Chad can wear a "flak jacket" like CMart did when he was on the Pats. Vitaly Klitschko knocked out Lamon Brewster by TKO in the 6th after breaking his left hand in the 2nd. Be a man, Chad!
It's possile, when i fractured my ankle playing soccer I limped around a bit at the hospital with just pain meds, with the tape job they did it is possible he could have played a bit before the pain got too bad. Doubt it, but definitely possible. Also i remember back when he was in college Byron leftwich played the end of a game with a pretty bad fracture in his leg.
Byron has one of the longest releases in the NFL, I don't think that he would be a good fit considering the early play of the O-line this season.
I have severely sprained my ankle a few times and it feels like you'd think a broken ankle would. My guess is he has asimilar type of sparin. I did it playing basketball and the first tim i did when i tried to walk the next morning I felt like my ankle just crumbled. he'll be sore for a little while and hobbled for a while but by the sounds of it I THINK he has a bad sprain and he'll be able to play soon. He won't have much mobility this week so the best plan would probably be to give him this week off to rest then he should be able to play against Miami. obviously I am also speculating but just off what little we re hearing, his reaction after it happened and the way he hobbled back in tell me it's a bad sprain.
