Let's say Clemens starts this week against the Ravens. Let's say he throws 3 or more interceptions because of offensive line porosity and poor decision making and we get hammered again. i know for me im not expecting us to win this game against the ravens. if KC does start and has a bad game i say he gets a mulligan. for a first start in the nfl the ravens arent ideal. they have smart guys on defense, and a very good front 7. not to mention the best saftey in the league. with the way the OL looked yesterday i dont envy whoever the starter for the jets is this sunday.
Precisely. I don't know what people expect. Clemens can not walk on water. He needs support just like Chad. If it isn't there, he will likely look far worse than Chad ever could with the exception of opening day 2005 against KC.
KFFL is reporting that Chad is going to be evaluated throughout the week. I'd rather have Clemens in this week simply so Chad's injury doesn't get aggravated. Either way, the game should be a nasty one. Might as well get through it without losing Chad for the rest of the season.
I'd consider it a victory if KC comes out of this game in the same physical condition he went into it. D'Bust leading the way to our backfield, no running game to speak of, hellacious pass rush incoming.... I say start Tui. Throw him to the wolves instead of your heir apparent..
I know, it doesn't look good; doesn't it. Hopefully, some of Chad's spunk rubbed off on Clemens. Clemens will need it. The best thing the Jets could do for the first play of the game next week is a play-action and have Clemens heave it for all he is worth even if he over throws everybody. I think it would help loosen things up.
And it's corrolary "We need Brian Brohm" threads. Actually, I am confident that Clemens will do the job. I am confident in the coaching staff and FO long term. We got shut out twice last year. We can turn this around this season.

What is actually sad is I was looking forward to the season to engage in some meaningful Jets dialog with seasoned posters and I must say that, today, I was very disappointed at the TGG quality................. Hence, the farsical nature of my thread.
