The Pats are a great team this year. Bottom line. The Jets are a bit better than last year as well, but no match for the pats. It pains me to say that, but admitting it is the first step to healing! Go Jets! P.S. Football is back baby!!!
once we all realize we wont play the Pats 16 times a season we can realize that every hole in our team wont get exposed week in and week out. Good coaching hides holes at times i.e. last season
Amen bro....I figured we were gonna get our asses handed to us. A least everyone in the division lost too!
The Pats might not lose a game this year. I don't know how anyone could have expected much different than what happened yesterday.
I still do not fear the Pats, if our O-Line was not so terrbile it could have been a game. We could not get a consistent running attack going, and that hurt our passing attack, play action was a non-issue. The defense will get better, we need to play Pouha and Harris more, when they were in our run-d was better. Also, Dyson and Smith will help in the secondary when they come back...I do agree however that there is only one Patriot team, and more importantly, only one MOSS.
lol I'm in a football pool and I had picked both the Bills and Phins to win. those two blew up in my face at the last second.
I will say this. Their was a part of the game where the Jets offense and what they were running play wise, had the Pats very confused.
Indeed, and they adjusted for the run pretty well, too. The problem is with no pass rush and that set of receivers they have.....ugh. Ya can't win.
Well, Randy Moss should not be able to beat 2 DBs and an LB in coverage all the way down the field, regardless of how much time brady had. And the return for a TD was just a bad luck busted ST play. Take those two away and the game is a lot closer. That's two plays out of 150 or so that made all the difference.
Here's the thing- assume that one day you are able to win the whole thing- the Pats go down in flames etc. Pats fans will still rub it in your face that they have more rings than we do. The cycle will never end!
I don't agree that we're a bit better. Thus far, we haven't shown that we are any better at all. Also, getting pounded by any teamis never OK, a loss is a loss regardless of who the opponent is.
absolutly no pass rush and an avg of one yard pers rush on first down is what did us in...the receivers and chad all played very well...its a shame the pats only punted once due to a wes walker drop....next week will not be much fun either....that defense is going to expose our weak o-line even more...dont forget seymore and harrison were not playing OUCH@
Screw them. I will not let their bandwagon asses ruin my one shining moment...ANd no other jet fan should let them either..
lol well then, you must not have been watching the game. we were man handled. what this game exposed was that the jets are not as good as some on this board claimed. and the pats were every bit as good as the critics claimed, ie moss is not washed up, as so many here professed. and welker had to be double teamed in the second half to be stopped. can you imagine that, the jets had to double team a slot reciever!!and again, so many here were claiming him to be no threat. lol what reallity showed yesterday is, the jets have been over evaluated by many and the tougher schedule that so many claim is a fiction, is going to bite this team in the a$$. THIS TEAM IS STILL REBUILDING AND TAKING A STEP BACK TO REALLITY THIS YEAR!!!!
Yes. They ran out of timeouts in the first quarter and took another offsides penalty inside the 10 on our last TD drive. We were 7-7 until the final minute of the half, then it got out of hand. By the time we got the ball back it was 21-7. Make that tackle on NE's first TD and they only have 10 at the half. The longer our D was out there in the heat the less chance they had.
--O.K...well first of all you say if your Oline didn't suck then you would have a chance. Well, your Oline DOES suck and the Patriots were without Seymour, so I don't know where you were going there. As for the running attack, or lack thereof, the Pats have always been able to stop the run in the past. That's more credit to the Pats...
