Phil Hughes vs. Shaun Marcum ...Should win this one, Hughes seems to be back to the form we all hoped for, but Marcum does have good success against us. I expect a low scoring game, but a Yankees win... --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mike Mussina vs. Dustin McGowan ...I'll be honest, not expecting to win this one. McGowan has good success against us, not sure why, but he does. This year he is 2-0 with a 2.45 ERA. We also have our worst starter going in Mussina. I don't believe Mussina has started a game against the Jays this season... --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ian Kennedy vs. A.J. Burnett ...If Kennedy keeps up his recent performance, we should be in this game. Once again, probably a low scoring game, but one that the Yankees should win. Unfortunately, Burnett also has had good numbers against us this year, 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA in his one start... --------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'll be happy with 2/3 (losing Mussina's start), with Hughes & Kennedy each pitching well.
Hi folks Sorry I was missing in action for such a long time  But Im back and GOOOO Yanks!
its nice to not have to face roy halladay.. hopefully the yanks pad their lead, and gain some ground on boston these 3 games.. i hope to win 2, we cant expect to win with moose on te mound.. its def. a loss or a 20-19 victory

Boston loses! So we're five back of the Sox now However Detroit won so we are only 3 and a half ahead of them
tigers getting blown out by the rangers. they're done. AL is all sealed up, as it basically was last week. Boston Cleveland Angels WC- Yankees key for the yankees is whether the indians can pass the angels (after the weekend series, they're one game back in the loss column)
Wow, that ship sunk pretty quickly. Without Tigers playoff contention, the only serious threat to ARod's MVP (Ordonez) is no longer an obstacle. Now the Yanks have to seal the deal. Ugh, this is stressful. Why can't we play 10 straight against KC?
Getting ahead of yourself department: If the Yanks get the WC, I hope they play and beat Anaheim, Boston and the Mets and kill all demons decisively this season. This would be one to tell the grandkids about.
Hughes has been laboring and throwing a lot of pitches, but has held them to only 2 runs. The offense is going, with GIAMBI'S GRAND SLAM increasing the lead to 6. AND, Boston is losing 8-5, we could be only 4 back by the end of the night!
We got that close a couple weeks back. This time it would be nice to be 4 back before we play them instead of after.
107 pitches for Hughes, i want him to pitch one more... retired 12/13 to end it, only guy reached on error. He has really been "pitching" his last 2 starts, and not just throwing.
