Time to step up, boys. Let's see what you got.

As far as the Jets go, I know I'll catch some flack, but our OL and DL are a wreck, and will cost us games. I hope I am wrong, but RT and LG are in bad shape, and I don't have much confidence in Ferguson at LT either. Moore is servicable at RG, and we have a rock at C.

For the most part I agree completely, but The Vikings doing better than 6-10 is just hilarious I'm sorry. Also, howcome everyone has no confidence in us now suddenly?

Why the hell does everyone keep putting Buffalo over the Jets? Horrible. The Jets will make it to the playoffs again this year, but unless some serious injuries occur in New England, it will be via the Wild Card.

I agree with you. Nobody thought the Jets would make the POs last year. The team can only be better now except maybe for the LG position but they still may find a capable LG who got released or by making a trade. But even with Bender at LG, the offense should still be better. One year into the system has to make the offense and defense better. Plus we upgraded our defense at three spots, CB, IL, DE with Von Hoelfen gone. Let's remember that the team started to play better in the second half of the Cleveland game which we probably would have won had it not been for the Baker call, one of the worst ever.

you seriously believe the jets are a 12 win team? in your heart of hearts im sure you want to believe that, but realistically, looking at the team from an "outside the box" PoV how can you think that the glaring flaws in the offensive line, d line, and the lack of a true playmaker in the front 7 can put this team over the top?

i would love to see 12 wins, but i just dont see that as realistic. buff has holes, and a young defense, but they are a more complete team offensively than the jets.

Ha ha I see the Jets as a 10-6 team right now, I put 12-4 in my projections because I made that before the preseason, but I am sticking to it. It could still happen. Right now though, the Jets look like a team with issues, but it is just preseason. What will you do if the Jets start out 2-0? Still see them as a 8-8 team? I think not.

If the Jets start out 2-0 they're going to win 10-12 games.

If they start out 0-2 they could win anywhere from 5 to 10.

I really can not make predictions. Taking into account that the Jets last year were the most well coached Jets team I have ever seen and discounting the horrible preseason I can see the Jets 8-8 or 9-7 with maybe a wild card berth.

However, it is not too difficult to believe that Mangini really is that good a coach to get this team to 10-11 wins. At least that is what I am hoping. That is a hope with almost zero room for error and predicated on the OL being way better than what they showed in the Preseason.

Really though I am going to be extremely excited if the CS just has this team improving every game like they did last year, I think that was the most fun part of last year. Almost every player seemed to improve as the season wore on. If that happens this year regardless I think I will be happy. That is because I think it is still 1-2 years away before this team makes real SuperBowl noise anyhow.

From what I've seen so far , which has been limited , Nothing about the O line suggests to me that it will be even AS GOOD as last years. Bender is a rookie playing between second year players , one of which is pretty damn good and the other has his moments too. This for me is the weakest point on the line. What is it about being as strong as the weakest link?
On the other side of the ball we are still trying to dovetail Vilma into a 3-4 which he seems to be getting or hes just kidding himself.
No pressure JV , this is the year that you HAVE to get it. Trade him now to a 3-4 team or go back to 4-3.
Weak schedule gave us the POs , now we have a proper season ahead , time to buckle down the hatches , this isn't going to be pretty.
Chad P will not finish the season , guarenteed.
