But he's better and younger than Kendell...I would be fine if they gave up a 2nd rounder for him.

Maybe we could give them Pennington for Fanneca and Rothlisberger because we all know how much better Pennington is than Big Ben.

    ZZZZZIIIINNNNNNGGGGGGGG lol

and people say i'm a sarcastic a$$... way to go winston, if i said it, i'd get flamed...

i don't know if the front office would want to pay all the dough fanneca is going to want. it's why he's whinning now. he's seen all the money the other guards have gotten lately and greed is what is driving this guy.

i see the jets looking for a somewhat reasonably priced vet and rebuilding the line thru the draft. this front office hasn't exactly been throwing money around like other foolish organizations have..

I wouldn't want him and I am quite certain we will not make a play for him. He is a mal content even outside his contract issues. Add to the fact that he only has one year left on his contract and he will want stupid money next year as a 32 year old guard makes him not a good choice.

He didn't play anywhere near pro bowl form last year and he's 30 years old. End of story.

Dyson and 2 farts in a bottle.

Actually, that's too much. Give me back my farts....

I'd love a deal for Faneca that didn't involve losing Dyson. A third round pick would be acceptable to me for sure. I'd sure feel a lot better about the season, that's for sure.

i went on the pitt board and researched thru some threads. the overall opinion on fanneca is that he's living off his past reputation. they seem to be of the opinion he has regressed....

Giving up a 1st day pick at this point in the game would be viewed as a "panic" move and Mr. T doesn't panic. No deal. Now a fourth...

If we got Faneca for a 4th, the skins got robbed taking Kendall. Kendall's deal set VALUE... Any Faneca deal would net more.

Throw in Mangold as well and I think you've got a deal there.

Yeah, the value for a disgruntled starting guard is a fourth. I don't see the problem.

You don't give up a first day pick for a one year contract even if it's Peyton Manning!

Bender played better last night, albiet against less than starting lineman. But his did show a lot more poise. I really think you're looking at our starting LG. If we keep him, NE will become FIXATED with trying to exploit him, but Mangini knows all the stunts and blitzes NE has, so Mangini will counter with extra help on that side plus roll outs, screens, etc when need be. Advantage Jets.
