The OL blocks better for Ware, because they have pep when he comes in. Leon will never take this team to a SB. Ware will. Dont give me that its only preseason, the performances were like night and day.

Did Leon suck in all the preseason games he played in? Did Ware out play him in every preseason game? Will the back up QB actually play meaningful minutes? Unlike the backup QB if Ware continues to out play the other running backs during the season, he will end up the starter.

Gentlemen, the offensive line played like s... last night. Not only were they getting no surge at the point of attack, but they couldn't pass block either. On every play, there were blue jerseys 2, 3, 4, and even 5 yards behind our line of scrimmage shortly after every snap. God himself couldn't produce at RB (or QB for that matter) under those conditions. Lets face it. Unless our Offensive line starts to play much better, we are in for a long and UGLY season.

Ware will be a decent back up but he has a lot to prove before you can name him a starter. One thing you need to remember is that Mangini left the starting O line out there in the 3rd quater to help[ their confidence (maybe even as a punishment)to put a score up on the board. Jim Brown couldn't have run for positive yards in the 1st half with the way the Giants dominated our front four. Ware is a nice back but not a starter.
I could tell from your post the obvious sarcasm. Leon only looked bad behind that o-line. Ware will be a nice 3rd guy, he looked good behind a starting starting o-line vs. the 2nd team defense. Leon + TJ domination.

Great post. I also think we should think about starting the 2nd string OL over the first string. Look at the holes they opened for Ware and the time they have given Clemens all pre season. The first string offense can't run or pass with that OL. The back ups clearly have a better understanding of the offense than the first string OL does. Plus, their stellar play enables Schotty to open the playbook more, throw downfield, etc. It's obvious that Ferguson, Mangold, Moore, Clemons, and whoever the starting LG is should not be starting. The same goes for the DL, by the way.
You forget that since the DL hasnt done much so far that Ellis and D-rob will be benched and the starting DL will be Hicks, Pouha and Wadsworth. Wadsworth did have a tackle in the first pre-season game. That enough to push him up the depth chart.
Wadsworth is pretty much in LT mode: He's the best player on our team, so they're just not going to play him in the preseason so that he doesn't get injured.
