as regarding to someone saying pennington is a deer in headlights when he is pressured is not true at all, i think for being slow, penny has pretty decent "niftyness" in the pocket, inmo the preseaon is a joke to me and we cannot pass judgement until a real game when our A game and A plays are in tact, i know as a jets fan we are natuarlly pessimistic, but i really do believe we are heading in the right direction, at least we dont have to worry about clock management problems anymore hehe
I disagree. Preseason games are a completely different animal. Second and third teams are not in the game to see how the units gel. They are in the game for individual perfomance. KC has not seen a first team defense at all in the NFL (consistently at least).
It is different to a regular season game in some respects, but football is football. If he is in one situation, and he reacts in one way, it's going to be the same in a regular season game. If a qb is nervy when his line is busted back a yard, and throws a pick, it's going to happen in a regular season game too.
Clemens threw a TD last week against the Vikes first team D. He has owned Chad this preseason. If the QB position was like every other position on the team there would be no QB controversy.
You're probably the calmest person about it I'm just happy the Mets are rounding into form or I'd be stressing about this O-line. We have to hope/pray somebody decent gets cut.
That's right. We don't have an obligation to keep chad as starter if there is someone better beneath him. I would still start chad against the pats though
I did say consistently. i am sure he has seen at leaast a few first team defense sets. It still remains that e have yet to see Kellen do what he is doing now against the same level of play that Chad has. I think it's unfair to say that Kellen has outplayed Chad when it's against different competition. Obviously Kellen's stats are better, but we are not comparing equivalents. With that said, I am extremely happy with Kellen's play and I think we will have a serious controversy next year.
If we come out and tank early on, the switch won't be next year. And it won't be controversial. I still believe Chad gives us the best chance to win; if I didn't, I wouldn't stand by him. But, like I said earlier, its useless to argue when Chad's getting pounded.
