Also if the rumblings about Brick turn out to be correct then we have to use a draft choice or sign a UFA to find his replacement which will further put us behind.

You know Champ, I make fun of you at every opportunity you afford and that is a lot. This has got to be the best most lucid post I have ever seen from you. I give Kudo's when they are deserved. The only fault I have is the 2010 thing. I really think this FO excels at bringing in young talent. I know this is a little premature but it looks like they got 4 out of 4 this year did very well last year in the draft. If they have another draft or two like that and a couple of decent free agents or trades this team is going to be very very very close to being special and by special I mean SB contenders. Also, I am sorry but how can you (not directed towards Champ) compare Tom Brady to Chad. That is like comparing Abraham Lincoln to Bill Clinton (I would use Bush but he is way higher on the suck scale than Clinton). As much as I hate to say it Tom Brady when all is said and done will go down as one of the best most clutch QB's ever. You put switch QB's and the Jets win all 3 games last year, period end of discussion. Jesus that guy took NE to the AFC championship game with a group or WR's that would have a hard time being starters on a decent college team. ................ and I fucking hate Tom Brady FWIW!

Well thank U 4 the kudos they are much appreciated. In projecting ahead that is what I see so I have to go with my assessment of not before 2010 at the earliest. Truly I hope it is earlier but sorry to say the reality of it all says it will not happen earlier
