I actually expect Schaub to get killed this year in Houston. never saw anything out him to make me think he was better than vick...other than the whole not drowning dogs and stuff...

It also doesn't hurt that Clemens was going up against 2nd and 3rd stringers. You can't really get a feel for how the backups really are in preseason because they go against players that, for whatever reason, are not good enough to start on their respective teams.

Schaub almost beat the Patriots...Vick would have lost that game in the 1st quarter scrambling around fumbling all over the place.

So now almost beating the Pats or beating the Pats for that matter makes you elite. Hey we beat the Pats last year and people still think we suck...:breakdance:

and since when is Vick a fumbler???

For a back-up to come into a game when his team is losing to THE BEST team in the NFL and almost pull off a win is very impressive.

Vick has always been a fumbler...look how he holds the ball.

He's a running QB of course he holds the ball that way! but that doesnt mean hes a fumbler on every play. the guy knows hes running with the ball that way hes been doing it since high school. And they werent the best team...the were the third best team after the bears and colts....which yes i know isnt much of a difference but still....

Vick does the "i'll hold the ball on the outside with one hand and DARE you to knock it out" style of ball security.

it wasn't in 2006, it was in 2005...the year after the Patriots beat the Eagles in the Superbowl. The Steelers won it all that year, but the Pats were pretty damn close again.

McNabb was a running QB until the Rush Limbeau thing...and he always tucked the ball. Vince Young always tucks the ball, and he is arguably a better runner than Mike Vick. Wide Recievers tuck they ball, and they probably have the worst "carry" out of skill positions. Just because he is a scrambler doesn't mean he has to run around holding the ball with one hand just waiting for someone to strip it and end his team's chances of scoring.

He doesn't tuck the ball because he has such an ego that he actually thinks no one can tackle him...he plays careless and that's why his team never went anywhere.

When the Schaub trade broke, ESPN reported that 'Schaub has great decision-making skills.. he processes information like a pentium 2.' I thought that was kind of amusing.

and about Clemens.. I'm really getting kind of tired of all this speculation. Obviously he's got the ability to do well, but there's really no way to tell if he can handle the pressure and turn out to be a good starting QB. CP playing poorly in the preseason shouldn't magically give anyone any good insight into Clemens' potential. I can't wait for the season to start..

Good one. Or -- he almost had as many fumbles as he had felony charges against him.

I sure hope he's better than Schaub, cause Schaub hasn't done nothing in the NFL so far. I sure hope he's as good as Brett Favre.
