The Eagles were not a continuation of the Yellow Jackets (the 1926 NFL Champions). They were completely different franchises. The Yellow Jackets folded 8 games into the 1931 season due to lack of funds and a mess of a stadium. The Eagles began play in 1933.

I hate the throwback idea and just don't get it. The Titan uniforms are butt ugly. Why wear those horrible looking things for an NFL game? The Jets are identified as much by the color of their uniform as the name. Look at the name of this website, people saying they bleed Jet Green, etc. Why wear BLUE uniforms???????? So the whole crowd that day will be wearing green and white while the Jets wear blue and the opponent wears the Jet colors!!!! Plus the Titans were in existence for what - three virtually meaningless non-descript seasons, were named Titans in an obvious move to counter the Giants, and hold no nostalgic value to any Jet fan. The Jets have one of the best, most indentifiable uniforms in the NFL. To change that for one game to increase jersey sales or for whatever reason is ridiculous. I am not looking forward to that game at all.
Aren't the Eagles wearing throwbacks this year sometime too since it's their 75th anniversery. I think that they are also blue and gold.

I agree. I hate the green pants also. Give me green jerseys and white pants at home and white jerseys and white pants on the road. Simple and classy.
