30-3 in the 9th.... Saltalamacia with 2 HRs and 7 RBIs,

Ramon Vasquez had 17 RBI's coming into the game and has 7 today.

30 of the 30 runs are earned

Paul Shuey with 9 earned runs
Daniel Cabrera with 8 earned runs

Texas scored a months worth of runs in one game. They still have another game to play tonight.

Texas only scored in 4 innings.

And the last reliever on Texas got the save  (for pitching the final 3 innings)

Texas broke the record for most runs scored in a doubleheader without even having the play the second game

This is kind of like that Henry and Tommie Aaron held the record for most HRs by brothers at 768 (755+13).

64.5% of NFL games last season, teams had less than 30.

What I'de like to know is why Texas left their starters in the whole game to run up the score. Especially when they still had another game to play. In time, there will be repercussions for that move.

What was the Texas manager supposed to do? He had Travis Metcalf hitting fourth, Marlon Byrd - fifth, and Jason Botts hitting sixth. Not exactly DiMaggio, Gehrig and Ruth. Besides that, 16 of the runs were scored in the 8th and 9th inning.

Tommie gets unfairly overshadowed in my opinion.

The Baltimore Ravens haven't allowed 30 points since 2005.

That has to be the largest margin of victory where a player got a save...
