One of the greatest plays in Jet history, Jim Hudson's int on the flea flicker in SBIII:

Jim Hudson, Burgess Owens and EMac, nice. Good number in Jets history, if only we had drafted Emmit Smith instead of Blair Thomas.

The shame of Blair Thomas was his last year at PSU he ran like Bo Jackson, a mixture of speed and power, he looked like a lock to be a stud in the NFL, but proved to be anything but, a bitter pill to swallow for a big PSU fan like myself...

Considering the circumstances, New York Jet Coach Weeb Ewbank's final instructions to his team before the Super Bowl in Miami last week verged on the ludicrous. The squat, 61-year-old veteran of both leagues, still hobbling from a hip injury he suffered when his players carried him off the field after winning the American Football League title two weeks before, seemed blissfully unaware that his team was a three-touchdown underdog against the mighty Baltimore Colts, overwhelming champions of the National Football League. "Don't no body put me on their shoulders this time," Weeb said. "Two of you make a bosun's chair with your arms and carry me off that way."

Good stuff, junc. Clark Gaines sporting the 70s hair, Victor Green was one of the better DBs we've had.

Al Woodall as horrible, everytime I saw him in a game, it meant Joe Willie was hurt! I'll never forget Steve O'Neal's 98 yard punt against Denver he kicked it from his own endline and on the fly it landed on the Broncos 23 and rolled to the one. My favorite #21 was Clark Gaines, what a ticker he had, my least favorite #21 was Steve Tannen who symbolized to me the beginning of the downfall of the organization, he was a #1 pick and he was terrible.

No...I had season tickets through the 70's at Shea and we were awful 3-11 every year until 1978 when Matt came around, his throwing motion and charisma reminded me of Joe Willie, we were 8-8 that year...

For NY Junc Ken O'Brien was originally #16....

I missed Keyshawn and Vinny, dammit. O'Brien was #16 in 1983 but he never saw the field with it.

And you're complaining? If it were me, I'd rejoice.
