SNY NFL insider Adam Schein is reporting that Jets tailback Thomas Jones had an achilles injury that led to his calf strain. "A source close to Thomas Jones tells me that the orginal injury the running back had was an achilles strain, and as a result of favoring that injury, one week ago in practice, he suffered a calf strain," said Schein on SNY's Geico Sportsnite. "The same source did tell me, Adam, he will be ready for the New England Patriots game in Week One. Achilles strains can linger thoughout the course of a campaign. So it was an achilles Not good. Hope he gets healthy.
wow. are you fuckin serious? this isnt good at all. so now i have to picture his achilles as a timebomb waiting to go off.
If TJ doesn't play against the Pats on opening day , I will go and order a round of drinks in the buff.
For some strange reason i thought something like this would happen....doesnt look to serious....but we just cant catch a break.
EVERYONE PLEASE FUCKING CHILL. He prolly aint gonna be playing till opening day so it should give him enough time to rest up. He just came off of playing a 20 game season and even with the time in between thats still significatly less time to rest when compared to teams that didnt make it to the superbowl. Its not the end of the world. He will play.
No doubt he is gonna play, in the time being he can take a seat and focus on studying if the O-Line will open up any holes for him to actually run through.
This one was @ 4:53 This one is just 3 mins Later @ 4:56 Are you bi-polar? wow.... Someone needs their meds
he probably had the injury from last season and thats why the Bears may have let him go so easily. Hey, ya never know.
So, did he injure the Achilles that same weekend? During the Falcons game? He played in the game and looked fine. He also didn't show up on any injury reports until the calf. So either he injured the Achilles somewhere over that weekend, or it isn't that serious. I tend to lean towards it not being that serious.
