On the radio broadcast they said the yankees can't play afternoon get away day games. Does anyone know why?

Nice win by the Yankees. I felt like a jinx when they lost game one of the series. Nice for them to take the final 3

1 scoreless inning by Chamberlain and 2 scoreless innings by Ramirez finish the game.
I say give Joba the ball in the 9th instead of Mo and there wont be any issues.

    Bravo,Bravo,Bravo...

3 in a row against Detroit, very nice. After Thursday I was just hoping for a split this series...And they manage to WIN the series.

But during all of this, Seattle still keeps winning...

Great job to win the final 3, that's 6 of 7 against 2 of our WC competitors. I wish Seattle would lose a game or 2 but at least LAA took 2 of 4 from Boston so we are just 4 games behind the Sox again.

Well, Seattle still has to play LA 7 more times. If we can win this series coming up then maybe if Seatlle doesn't lose on their own they will knock LA into second place and we will get over the hump that way.

Great series win. Only 11 games left in this tough stretch and we are 8-4 so far.

Right now Torre really has his work laid out for him with the BP. There are so many good pitchers now, it's up to him to make the right decisions. Chamberlain, Ramirez, Vizcaiano and even Farnsworth are all pitching great. It will be interesting to see how he uses them down the stretch,

Slow down on Farnsworth... 2 good outings don't encourage me too much... if he has to come in in a crucial time, worry

It's actually been four good outings in a row. All with better location and pitch selection.

Not saying I really trust him very much... but four good outings in a row give a lot more hope for a trend as opposed to an aberration.

It's been 5 good outings without giving up a run. Or 4.

Farnsworth is pitching now like I predicted he would over 2 months ago. For me, unless he can do it all the way throughout the rest of the year and (hopefully) the postseason, I can't take his side anymore. It scares me when he comes to the mound, which sucks because when he's on, he's lights out. I just don't trust him.

It's awesome that a manager is going out of his way to get a pitcher 2 weeks into his career to face the heart of a very good lineup. It's gonna be interesting when he starts facing Ramirez and Ortiz.

You know what impresses me the most about him? The kid is unflappable. When he's out in the pen during the game, whenever they put the camera on him, he's lounging back in his chair, and laughing.

Then he comes in, and shows zero emotion on the mound. Stone cold.

I've bitched about Cashman a few times this year, but his steadfast stance to not give away Joba or Phil for ANY player deserves more praise than any other single move he's made since he's been GM, IMO.

Before we see him against Manny and Ortiz, we may just get to see him against Vlad.
