There's always a list of all the negative things with the Jets. Well, here's a list of all the positive things that happened with the Jets. Feel free to critique the list. Move things around. Add things I may have missed etc. etc.

Top 10 Moments in Jets Franchise history

    10. Wayne Chrebet catches game winning Touchdown in Keyshawn Bowl
    9. John Halls kick to beat Oakland to send the Jets to the Playoffs in 2001
    8. Signing of Curtis Martin from New England
    7. Sonny Werblin buys the Titans Franchise and renames them the Jets
    6. 1998 Season
    5. Signing Joe Namath away from the NFL
    4. 1981 Playoff Season
    3. Hiring of Bill Parcells
    2. Winning the 2002 AFC Eastern Division Championship*
    1. Super Bowl III

*The day we won the 2002 AFC Eastern Division Title was probably the most thrilling and exciting moment I can ever remember. Just thinking that were done and then to see the Patriots win, and the way we dominated the Packers. It is something I will never forget and why I put that moment at #2.

Scratch #3 Parcells, although I was excited, it wasn't all it was cracked up to be (cap hell).

and replace it with my #3...Raul Allegre's kick against the phags that sent us to the playoffs...I even hugged my stepfather that day (he's a gints fan)

I will say this, and actually why I put Parcells on the list - We have had only 2 losing seasons since he was hired by Leon Hess (knock on wood for that to continue). Kids growing up as a Jets fan these days have no idea how painful it was for many years.

That was a great moment BTW - I'll never forget the Allegre kick..AND we could have beaten Houston the following week too.

That is a good reason and led directly to 1998, and I guess you could trace it all the way to the Mangenius coming "home" to his old haunt. In that case, well done!

Man, that Houston game made me hate the Oilers forever...back in High School when I was really getting into football cause I played it...I was crushed.

    Well Done...

For selfish reasons I would add the Todd To Barkum TD catch as # 4a

Number 2 should include that entire stretch run.

    Beating NE,
Then Destroying GB in a game they had to have,
    Winning the Division,
Then hanging a 41-0 Rout on Indy in game no one thought would be close going the other way.

Outside of Moment #1 and # 5 which kind of go hand in hand, I realize how terrible we have been. Even the so called "great" moments were not that great.

Yes , you need that, and i would put the 1968 AFL CG win against Oakland as a separate moment from SBIII, too- that game and win was huge.

#5 should be #1. That changed everything.

There was even a better game against Baltimore in 1974 when Namath went up against Bert Jones and the final score was 45-38 Jets. That game basically turned on just about every play and I remember Namath throwing 3 consecutive TDs to Rich Caster on 3 straight passes. Two for over 80 yards.
