This is ridiculous, Mangini has a long way to go before he is even equal. And I hate Belicheck as much as anyone.

That's not what C-Mart said, and I don't think there's anyone here who believes he was just tryin' to kiss Mangenius's behind.

I understand that I'm new here, but this is a ridiculous thread. Belichick is arguably the best coach in the history of the NFL. He is at least in the conversation with Walsh and Lombardi and Noll.

Mangini did a real nice job with the jets last year. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Holy Cr*p, HAH. I'm too tired and lazy to dip into anything I've said over the last few days (much less an hr. ago), but you know what they say about great minds, yeah?

These threads get so silly, you summarized it well. It's a joke to even compare the 2 at this point.

Haha..I think everybody feels the same about this thread. And isn't this a repeat of another thread from 2 months ago? How could the answer change since then?

Bellicheck has worked with and been part of some of the greatest coaching staffs of all time. You could argue that since his coaching staff has been raided he still has had the best talent in football and his teams have choked in big spots. Certainly Brady who was 9 and 0 with Charlie Weiss calling the plays with 3 INT's in those 9 wins, hasn't been the same QB since Weiss left. He is good but he is 3 and 2 in the playoffs with 6 INT's since Weiss is no longer calling the plays.

For my Money Lombardi is No.1 by far followed by Walsh, Hank Stram and Knoll. I rank Parcells above BB because he took a very good but not great Giant team to a SB win over a much more talented Bills team in his second SB appearance. BB has had great teams, great staff and great QB play. When he hasn't had that he was a very ordinary HC. BB didn't develop his staff for the most part Parcells did.

Mangini has a long way to go but you can see he has the players in top physical condition and has a plan. Whether it will translate to SB wins at some point is anyone's guess. The Jets are not nearly as talent ladden as the Pats and they at least competed well against them last year.

The only difference is once they're on he makes gold records. When he's done with the Pats they'll be wearing gold plated diapers.

When your talking about a coach that will be mentioned in the same sentence as Bill walsh and Bill parcells's; That a real dispartity. This isnt even a question that should be asked! 4 Years from now maybe 10 years from now; yes ask away!

What an absurd question to ask. Is a pile of puppy puke worth as much as a kilo of cocaine?

Until Mangini does something of significance (win more than one super bowl), he's not even close to Belicheck and can't even be mentioned in the same sentence.

Let's see Mangini bring a ring to the NYJ before we even begin discussing this...

I wouldn't get too far ahead of yourself if I were you. Belichick is a great head coach, but best in history? Nah, he couldn't touch Lombardi, Lambeau, Landry, ect.

In my opinion ol' Billy boy had a lot of shit kinda fall in his lap to help him win, including some very questionable officiating. By questionable I mean fishy. And by fishy I mean rigged.
