I tend to agree with you, but the truth is, when is a guy ever truly ready? We brought up Hughes, Clippard, and Chamberlain this year, none of whom probably belonged here yet. You'll never know until you give it a shot though.

It sucks that you're cool bro. I actually wish you good luck with your guys, when I would rather be like Hofstra Jet and hope he crashes and burns. Isn't there a law regarding Yankees and Red Sox fans co-existing?

Even when they seem to be ready they may not be. The only way to tell is to bring them up and try them.

Edit. Haha, I see Alio just said the same thing.

Miserable. To make room for him they traded Wily Mo Pena to Washington for the dreaded PTBNL. Why not just send someone like Snyder down for the first game and then switch the two back afterward? Now Wily Mo is going to hit 50 homers a year. Ugh.

As for Buchholz, decent first inning. Gave up a run, unearned, and got a great strikeout to end it. Getting plenty of run support so far, 4 runs to this point with only one out in the first.

So now Bowden has traded for Kearns, traded for Wily Mo, and made a push for Adam Dunn at the deadline.

    Creative.

So far- 3 IP, 1 R, 0 ER, 2 H, 3 BB, 2 K. Not bad. His stuff looks outstanding, location could be better.

Buccholz gets the win. Not a spectacular outing but a VERY solid ML debut. Final line- 6 IP, 8 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 5 K. I assume he'll be sent back down until September 1st, but it was nice to see what he can do. The thought of a rotation of Beckett, Matsuzaka, Papelbon, Buchholz, and Lester for the next 5+ years makes me very happy.
