Karstens up to 39 pitches to get through 2 innings with 3 walks.

Looks like it will be a long night for the bullpen.

Karstens is absolute garbage..like I said earlier the Yankees should have just phoned this game in.

Karstens is painful to watch. I had hoped for much more than this.

Torre never cared about this game from the minute he named Karstens to start it. Another thing he does on a regular basis in my opinion. Just like he how he makes Clemens miss a start instead of pushing the others back a day. He has his own agenda.

He was good in Tampa Bay, but I follow Baltimore pretty close, and he has been a huge disappointment.

definitely true. one of the reasons their lineup blows. but he was maybe the most underrated hitter in baseball for a few seasons

I hope this is a one game thing and not the end of a great run.

wow.. karstens and brower were absolutely terrible tonite... i wish joba was a starter already, cause he could have been long relief tonite or sumthin.. the yanks are a great team right now, and overall.. but cant beat good teams with this bullpen excluding joba, vizcaino, and mo.. the ret of the pen is absolutely awful

This is a product of two guys who shouldn't be pitching in the majors getting 5+ innings of work against a team in the middle tier of the majors.

I just love making shitty pitchers look like Cy Young candidates.

cabrera some of his usual wildness, but only 2 hits allowed for him.

Daniel Cabrera is not that bad, he has days like this. Not his first. Sometimes he loses control and allows many runs, but he has done this before.

An ERA of over 5 coming into the game, against this lineup, allowing zero runs, is in a word, unacceptable.

We paid a hefty price for vengence tonight. I'd still condone what Roger did, but it cost us a game in the division, a game to probably Detroit, who is leading Cleveland right now, and depending on what Minny can do tonight, we'll fall a game behind Seattle for the wild card.

We just need to hope that this is an aberration, due to a terrible pitching performance, and not something that will carry over into tomorrow or further.

I'm just not encouraged by scoring no runs at all.
