Great Curtis pics, thanks guys. Nice way to ring in the pre-season. So I guess we're counting down to the Thursday night opener and not the Jets' opener. Good enough, I guess.

One little Darrol Ray memory. I was at the 1981 game vs the Colts at Shea, great day, Freeman McNeil's first 100 yeard game, 8 sacks for the NYSE. I was sitting high up behind the home plate end zone, and on one play I decided to just focus my binoculars on Darrol Ray from the snap to see what he would do on a given play. The ball was snapped, he floated to his left, took off running and intercepted a tipped ball, ran it back about 10-15 yards. Still one of the coolest things I've ever seen live at a football game.

When they retire Curtis's #28, what will the final tally for #28s in Jets History?

Ray was electric w/ the ball in his hands. I loved him as a kid.

Haha, Donald Dykes and Lester Lyles. Talk about the most troublesome number, #26 might be.

Cool. The reason I remember him being from St. John's is that I played football at Marist College in 1986 and 87, and we used to play St. John's back then. Both were D-III schools, I think both have moved up to D-1AA now. I remember being kind of surprised that a guy from our level who played on our field was actually on the Jets and playing a little bit.
