I have VLC but how do u use it for that sopcast site or whatever? Liek how do I direct that sream into VLC? I am looking at VLC here on my work computer but I cant figure out what menu option to choose...and once I figure that out do I jsut paste the stream link from that website into one of the fields in VLC?
first u have to let it load on sopcast then pause it and right click the video screen and choose properties there should be a link there.....then open VLC and theres an option that says "open network" or something to that affect. cut and past the link from sopcast into VLC.....dont know if i explained it right...havent used it since last season....but i think thats how i did it....

As you know in China, there is few users works on Mac Platform and so few programmer here. We can not find someone to have it work on Mac Platform. FROM MAC FORUMS: Anyway, Boot Camp running Explorer on XP is the only success I've had running Sopcast and similar streamers on an intel Mac. This option is extremely unappealing, but it actually works pretty well.
ABOUT THE DELAY: Whats funny is that if you switch from viewing it in Sopcast to Windows media you get closer to the on air delay... or it takes longer...one of the two...>_>
yeah every once and while u'll be able to catch a pregame....but they usually don't start streaming till kickoff.
NYMETRO channel usually is on all the time...besides Chinese ping pong championship are actually pretty interesting to watch sometimes...
What's the point of taking extra steps to set up VLC? Why not just view it in sopcast or in your browser window via the default Windows Media player? Does it somehow stream better or something?
I live in fla. also and this is very intriguing to me.... I downloaded the sopcast player and in the process of downloading the TVU player and anticipate tuning into the falcons game with no problem(i hope) .... but tell me more about this VLC, what is it another player, where do I get it cause I dont see a link on the streaming page, and once I get it... are there a thousand steps to go through to get the game?
Theres not really alot of steps....u just gotta have patience because sometimes the video link doesnt work....go to this page http://streamednfl.blogspot.com/ and usually pple will complain about what games aren't showing and they'll correct it with a new link or something....its not the best solution but it works...i just about saw every game last year with this method....except the ones that were on TV and u know living in Fl. that rarely happens...lol Like i said in previous post there is a lag but not alot...also u dont have to use VLC which is a media player i use it because it seems to stream better also has a clean interface as oppose to sopcast. http://www.videolan.org/ VLC link
short term- no answer other than sports bar longterm- if your at UF...the SAE frat has direct tv at the house and in every room...and throw down(like any frat)...
thanks everyone for your input. the only reason i dont really want to go to a bar is because all of my buddies are dolphins fans (i lived in South Florida..) so id kinda have to do my own thing, and also you usually cant hear the sound because theres so many different games on. That bar on 39th sounds like a good idea though... i might check that out. thanks again for you help, and any further ideas will be appreciated
WOW this is awesome!....right now I am watching a feed of NBA network from asia..watching some old NBA playoff game with the bulls...
